The thing I loved most was to listen to my papaw tell stories! He sure could tell some good one's! I loved it when he sang too. And there was never any beating around the bush with him! He just told it like it was. He told me a story of a young boy that lived in the trailor park that came to the door one day and asked to borrow his lawn mower. His reply was, "No, I don't reckon you can." I laughed so hard at that one. My Papaw was always willing to help those who were willing to help themselves. So, I figured this boy wasn't doing too much to try to get his own lawnmower. He could tell some funny stories. He was joking with me the last time I got to talk to him before he passed away. I love you Papaw and I know one day we shall meet again!
