Dr. Stanley taught me so much about faith in Jesus Christ and God.  I watched him on Sundays and he would say, “listen”, this is what you need to do.  I would listen and take his advice so many times and when I did God always came through for me.  I would tell my daughter this is what Charles Stanley said today and we need to pray like this about this situation.  We both prayed.  I still look forward to listening to his sermons and waiting to hear “listen, this is what you need to do.”  He was a wonderful preacher and I hope his sermons remain viewable for as long as I live.  Thank you God for placing Charles Stanley in my path to help me learn and grow in my faith.

When I was Just getting sober I was confused about religion and spirituality.
Realizing that having a power greater than myself was necessary for recovery I
began to listen to Dr. Stanley on the radio. When he spoke about David and
Goliath his words reached my heart and I became more open minded to hearing about scripture than I had been since childhood.
Still sober thirty three years later I am still praying, reading the daily devotion online and financially supporting his ministry.
With gratitude an love,
Susan

Writing from New Zealand, I am so happy for our Beloved pastor to be now in the presence of our Lord but I am so sad for the loss to our world of a wonderful brother in Christ. He taught me so much about our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I loved his generous servant-hood. He was like a father to me, helping me understand the true things about God and who He is.  Praise God that we still have his wonderful sermons and devotionals. To God be the glory of a life well-lived, and a race well run. From Charles I learned the importance of humility, obedience, patience and perseverance and I thank God who blessed me with the opportunity to hear, the teachings of His faithful servant. Deepest sympathy to the Stanley Family.
