His Life
November 15, 2015

Charles “Tracy” Tallman passed away on November 8, 2015 following a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  He managed through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and various procedures, all with that characteristic smile and a belief that he would be okay. He faced each challenge with courage and strength that was an inspiration to all. He was 50 years old.

Tracy was born in Steubenville, Ohio and graduated from Cypress High School in Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Saint Thomas, St Paul, Minnesota in 1988 with a degree in Marketing and Operations Management.

While in Minnesota, he met Julie Ann and they were married in 1989. They moved to the Bay Area where Tracy began his 26-year career in the semiconductor industry. They settled in Danville to raise their family and were members of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Walnut Creek. He loved taking weekend scuba trips to Monterey, riding with the top down in his beloved Mustang, and attempting to be the next Iron chef and barbecue connoisseur. Tracy loved people and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, with his charismatic sense of humor and positive attitude. He loved the beach and always dreamed of enjoying his retirement on a sailboat in the Caribbean.

Tracy was known for his huge heart. He cared deeply about his family and his friends and touched many lives in his 50 years.  He loved to give and was always willing to help out with various projects. If you needed help or just needed someone to talk to, you knew you could always rely on him. He was kind and understanding, and put others needs before his own.

Tracy is survived by his wife of 26 years, Julie Ann; daughter, Alexandra; sons, Hunter and Tucker; mother, Deidra Tallman; sister and brother in law, Deidra Lynne and Chad Harrell; mother and father in-law, JoAnn and Robert Schultz; brother in-law and his wife, Jeffrey and Sherri Schultz; nieces, LaurenMichele and Katie Elizabeth Harrell and Libby Schultz; nephews, Charlie Harrell and Parker Schultz. His father, Charles Edward Tallman, precedes him in death.

Gone but not forgotten, Tracy will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
