Charles T. Yates, 59, from Tallahassee, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Big Bend Hospice from complications of diabetes.

Chuck was born in Oak Park, Illinois, where his parents Charles and Virginia Yates lived and worked. The family moved to Georgia where Chuck enjoyed playing high school sports at Clinch County High School. Chuck continued to follow the football team and in the past few years had a lot to cheer about.

After high school Chuck traveled to California were he worked various jobs, then settled into the midwest Chicago suburbs where he met his wife to-be. In 1989 Chuck married Lynn Schilling in Marysville, Washington, where they enjoyed boating and salmon fishing in the Northwest.

Chuck was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed the Cubs when it wasn't football season. He is survived by his wife Lynn and sister and brother-in-law Gerald & Lynn Lewis. Other family members include Greg & Jodie Williams, Sherry Vanyo, Chris and Candi Schilling, Missy Russo, John & Jessica Russo, Tony & Tracy Guidera, Mike & Tiffany Singleton, Chuck & Pam Schilling, Charles Schilling Jr, and Tim & Stephanie Tice.

Chuck is predeceased by his parents Charles Yates, 1987, and Virginia Yates, 2010.

Chuck will be best remembered for his sense of humor and joke telling. A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 2919 Miccosukee, Tallahassee Florida on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 2 pm.
