He was the son of the late Charlie Jack and Earline Davis, born on March 23, 1940. He was a 1958 graduate of Spencer High School and was a member of From the Heart Church Ministries in Suitland, Maryland where he attended regularly until his illness. He was retired from Verizon in Washington, DC.


He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Ellen McGrier Davis; three sons, Carlton Gerald Davis (Andrea) of Munich, Germany, Anthony Bruce Davis (Gloria), and Charlie Kenneth Davis of Columbus, Georgia; three daughters, Brigitte Darlene Davis, Earlene Marie Bass (Bobby) of Columbus, Georgia and Charita Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two devoted and loving sisters, Marguerite Davis Brooks and Debbie Hundley (Rudolph) of Columbus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.davis&pid=173829499&fhid=24480#storylink=cpy
