A native of Chattahoochee County, GA., he was the son of the late Lee and Annie Mae Buckner King.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was a P.O.W. during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the family business, King Construction Company and was a member of St. James C.M.E. Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Otis James Duncan and two brothers, Bruce King, Sr and Eugene King.
Surviving are his children, Larry Ghant and Ruth Ellen Glenn; his nieces and nephews, Marvin King(Barbara), Annie Dixon, Willie King(Luquita), Wanda Gooch(John) and Bruce King, Jr(Tesia); a very devoted great niece and caregiver, Tanya Dixon; a sister-in-law, Tula King; and a host of other great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
