I am a better person for having known you. You have been a friend for over 50 years and you are going to be greatly missed. You always seemed to have the right thing to say when we e-mailed and I really cherished your friendship. You will always be missed but never forgotten!

Charolette, like many of us, including myself, is part of a big blended family. Blended families can be difficult and trying while at the same time can be rewarding and supportive.  I was reminded of the importance of acknowledging each and every member of a person's family through a sympathy card Steve received today which said "Keep God and each other close and you can and will make it through anything." I saw this affect him and remind him of all the people who love his mother and who love him and it dawned on me what needed to be done. For the Blended Family:

Charlotte Ann Daugherty is also survived by 7 blended siblings who love her and miss her terribly whose names are as follows: Billy Abston, Barbara Kay and Lynette James of Alabama, Twonana Cambell of North Carolina, and Schivon Ellis, Sonya Kelley, Kendra Gies of Kentucky.

We love because he first loved us.

To my sweet friend, Char. You will be missed very much. It was an honor to grandparent Stephen and Ben with you. We went through a lot and it was always nice to be able to call you whenever I needed to. I'm so happy we shared Thanksgiving together last year. Love you very much, Sweet Friend.

Charolette, what a beautiful person. She was there for me when I was too young to take care of myself. She held all the hidden stories of our childhood close to her heart and loved sharing them with us when the opportunity came up. Although she was miles away, she was always faithful with birthday cards, christmas cards, keeping up with our children, and grandchildren. She shared a very special part in my daughters trip to Poland way back when. She always found a way to reconnect us kids even in the greatest distance apart. You will be forever missed. Rest In Peace with the one you have been waiting to see. Your journey has ended in this life and landed you right in the arms of Jesus. You are home free! Love & Memories Always, Twonana

Charolette had a very loving and caring heart. I will never forget her coming to Chicago and meeting with me. She reached out to me when I had closed a door. She made me see how important it was to reopen that door, and for that, I will be forever grateful to her. Thanks Charolette for always being there and not giving up on me. I know you are in a better place, and you will continue to watch over us. We will miss you, but will always keep you in our hearts.

Charolette , it's so very difficult to believe you are no longer here on this earth! But I know you were greeted this morning with opened arms on that blessed heavenly shore by family and JESUS!  No pain anymore. We miss you greatly here but know we will see you again one day!i pulled out the raggedy Ann doll you mailed to me when I was in elementary school. I have always treasured her as I type his she sits on my dresser so I can see her!  I have and always will treasure her. I still can't believe there will be no more emails , bday cards, Christmas cards or just a note to say hi . You lived everyone. You cared for everyone.  I miss you already  I will treasure the memories I have of you until we meet again on that heavenly shore.  I love you dear sister. RIP Charolette you won the battle today !  Love forever and always Kendra
