It's been a while but I still think about you and wonder how you were doing. Then I came across this and really upset me. Chase really was a good hearted guy which is hard to find nowadays. I just wish I would have reached out sooner. I have walked a very similar path as him in life and we were alike in many ways and I just wish you were still here cause dude I'm sure you could have used a true friend near the end Cause we all need that. Praying for you and everyone.

Dear Chase
You will be missed so much. Your happy smile was contagious with that grin from ear to ear.
I loved all the letters you sent me. You were a beautiful writer and gifted in so many ways.  I woke up this morning thinking about the beach trip you took with us and how excited you were about going night crabbing. I also remember all of the Thanksgiving meals, birthdays and holidays we all shared. You will never be forgotten and will be in my heart forever.
I love you.

Chase, the most loved nephew of my friend Celia Flock....great stories she would tell about your energy, creativity and kindness. She loved you so much Chase. Somehow I believe you know that even now. Love and care on others in heaven with your tender heart. Make them laugh with your wittiness, let your creativity be limitless as you are patterned in the divine Creator’s image!!

I remember those blond curls, too!  When you would visit Greensboro as a wee lad, we'd have to bolt everything down because you had to know how things worked by taking them apart!  You were so helpful to your Mom around the gardens, barn and animals and I remember you doing the same around the tack store. You loved your Mom's cooking, too. I am sorry I did not get to know you as an adult. Most of all, you were kind and sweet to me, and I don't think you ever met a stranger.  I know you were greatly loved by your family. Rest in Peace.

I remember your blond curls and chubby cheeks as a little one always "trying to get your wiggles out!" You were curious, intelligent, mischievous and funny. As you grew you struggled to fit in but always had friends and family that cared about you. My favorite memory of you as an adult is your being able to help and encourage some older men who were sick and without family or hope. You stayed with them, brought them little gifts of candy and soap, made them laugh and showed them love. I remember the excitement in your voice and you being the happiest you had ever been. I will miss your long letters and emails where you discussed world topics, questions about the Bible, everyday life and me! You always asked how I was doing. And then had an encouraging word for me...I love you Chase Lipscomb and always will. You made my world brighter my nephew and friend. God bless you.
