Cheryl Lynn Nelson mother of four beautiful children She was born November 27, 1978 in Eugene, Oregon to Kenneth Ray Nelson and Janice Margaret Landers, she was raised in Raleigh, NC. She worked for Litchford Falls Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as Director of Housekeeping. When she was able to cook, the kids just loved her shrimp jambalaya. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her kids, and most of all spending time with her “big brother, Kenny” and his family four wheeling.

Cheryl was not only a sister, friend, mother, aunt to many but a fighter. She never once let cancer win even though she knew it was terminal. She lived her life to the fullest even though her life was cut so short .Cheryl had a heart of gold and it showed and her smile was so contagious

Her Life

Moving to NC

March 4, 2019

Me and my three sisters moved to North Carolina in 1982 with our parents. I was about 10 years old and cheryl was about four years old me and my oldest sister didn't approve nor want to leave our home and friends and cousins in Oregon. This was the hardest thing I had to get accustomed to moving from the country to the city. I only wonder had we stayed would things be different.

My cousin I didn't know.

March 5, 2019

Cheryl. I wish our family's would have been closer like they were on the farm. Life was so.much simpler then. I never got the chance to know you, but I definitely know the love a brother has for his sister, and your brother Kenny loves you sooo much. I also know loss. I'm sure you heard about us losing our daughter Chloe ( tell her, her Padre loves and misses her so much). I can tell by how much your life and death has had an affect on your brother. I wish I would have been able to know you, you are my cousin. I vow to connect with my cousins from our childhood, so that if another passes, I can say that I knew the person they are. Rest in peace my dear cousin. We will all be together again someday.
