STAFFORD, C. Gordon Age 77, of Springboro passed away June 11, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was the son of the late Chester F. and Anne Stafford. He is survived by his wife Carole, son Jeffrey Stafford of Ft Lauderdale, FL, daughter Suzanne (Ryan) Mak of Chicago, IL, granddaughter Eisley Mak, and cousin Betty Cavanaugh of Cincinnati. He is also survived by stepchildren Andrew (Dena) Krupa of Springboro, LTC Joseph (Katherine) Krupa, US Army, of Alaska, Elizabeth (Gregory) Taylor of Cary, NC and step-grandchildren Rebbeca Krupa, Caroline Krupa, Margaret Krupa, Zosia Krupa, Alek Krupa, Will Taylor, John Taylor, and Hannah Taylor. 

Gordon graduated in 1959 from Fairmont High School in Kettering, attended the University of Dayton and received a degree in Business Administration from Antioch University McGregor. During his career he worked at NCR, Monarch Marking, and Centerville Schools. Gordon served as a volunteer firefighter with the Kettering Fire Department for over 10 years. He was an enthusiastic owner of a Mazda Miata and belonged to the Miami Valley Miata Club where he served for a time as Tech Director. An avid sailor, he was a former president of the Highlander Class International Association and in 1979 was Commodore of the Cowan Lake Sailing Association. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed all his grandchildren. He had a huge heart for animals, remarkably so for his beloved Golden Retrievers. For relaxation, he undertook numerous woodworking and remodeling projects, he loved keeping busy! Interment will be at David's Cemetery in a private ceremony. Donations may be made in his memory to the Dayton Humane Society or SICSA Animal Adoption Center.
