Chester was a classmate in the 6th session of the Academy. We had some laughs going through the Academy. Chester was always positive as he shared his smile along with some uplifting words with you. I and several others were fortunate as well as blessed to have known Chester. He was always a gentleman. Keeping your family lifted in prayer and comfort. Thank you for touching my life Chester.

I met Chester for the first time back in 1989 when I was looking for a new start. He spent quite a bit of time answering all my questions and explaining the pros and cons of working for FCPD, based on his personal experience. He was very positive and basically concluded our talk by stating something to the effect that if you believe you have what it takes and you are willing to put in the work to compete, then you can do well within the organization.

That conversation helped inspire me to apply and as they say, the rest is history. Shortly after I retired in December, I reached out to Chester to thank him again for the talk and all the great conversations we had.

Chester was one of the good guys and had a positive influence on most people he encountered. He will be greatly missed. Both he and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

What an honor to have been a friend of Chester Toney He was gentle giant, an officer and a true gentleman. Chester had a contagious smile that touch everyone. We both retired in 2011, promising to keep in touch and we did. When I say I will miss Chester, I truly will. Sending my condolences to the Toney family and lifting you up in prayer. Chester Toney was an extremely professional law enforcement officer. His work ethic, knowledge and experience was highly evident and as a police dispatcher and later a supervisor, I respected his direction and methods in solving cases. Chester was a friend to my husband which made our connection even more special. I enjoyed our conversations. I will remember his voice and big smile. Chester what a legacy! Well done, good and faithful servant. Rest In peace, safely in HIS arms.
