It has taken me this long to write a tribute …. I cannot understand or come to terms that you are gone so soon Kate. I never stopped hearing your voice ringing as you usually call me ….. .B-i-o-l-a - spelling out my name emphatically and with my response, Kateim …. . Kate, you have fought and won, now you are in a better place without any pain, stress or need to work for living.
My heart goes to your husband and children, Sam, David and Deborah. As friend we can never be who you are to them, but I know God will be much more than friends can be to each one of them. Kate your light is Forever shining on … Sleep well Kate Chiedu, Sleep on Kate until we meet in heaven's streets of gold. Grace and fortitude to friends. I pray Peace of God that passes all understanding to Uncle Sam (Husband), Sam, David and Deborah (Children). Shalom

It still feels like a dream until this moment. Its amazing how Kate and I knew as far back in 1999 when I used to join a mutual friend together with her to Apapa, and I later became a friend with Sam during the Guinness and LTC Advertising days. Kate later worked with LTC and SO&U and we became industry colleagues and family friends. Every word said about you were true. Kate, ever smiling and full of positive energy and infectious positive attitude. Sam and I from friendship became business partner. This journey was to bring joy to Kate and the children, this valley situation is the list expected but God is all knowing, who are we to question Him. The scripture says we should not mourn like those who do not know God, for our hope is eternal. My prayer is that the Lord grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and to specially comfort my friend Sam at this time and grant Kate eternal rest. Shalom!!

Kate as we all called her was a very lovely and warm person. We met in UAC days and she was introduced to me and other colleagues as Sam’s fiancée. He was so very proud of her and always spoke of her very fondly. Kate related with everyone like we had known each other forever. It was like she was the one that was our colleague and not Sam. Several years after we all left UAC we still kept in touch and every other time out of the blues that we spoke and asked after each other It was always a warm conversation. I didn’t even have that relationship with Sam.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace and May God grant Sam and the family comfort at this time. My heart and prayers are with you all.
Rest well dear sister.
It is well..

I pray this day that the God of Comfort will embrace and cocoon your lovely family in the hollow of His Mighty Hand. Rest on my sweet one.

I am lucky and blessed to have met you, no word or phrased coined by men can truly discribe you. Your impact and legacy speaks for itselves. Saying I will miss you is an understatement, I am only consoled by word of God and the fact that your legacy lives on. Your light still shines bright, it shines on.

April 15, 2021
I met her only twice but on those two occasions it was so clear that she was full of life, very friendly, kind and down to earth. I felt I knew her so well because she had such a huge influence on my wife. I have heard so much about what she taught her and how she molded her into the woman she is today, and for that I will eternally be grateful.

I hardly had any insightful conversation with Mr. Sam without him mentioning his wife and marriage, always using it to give an example and teach something, I knew instantly their relationship was one to emulate.

I cannot pretend to understand how difficult losing her would be, but I am certain she has left a mark many who live to 100 wouldn't.

I pray that God comforts the family and gives you peace! You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Nothing could have prepared me for this blow, the news hit like a bullet, still difficult to comprehend. Gone too soon, My Dear Sister and Friend, in your prime, you depart from this life.

Our hearts are heavy, our eyes fill up with tears. The memories flood my mind, ever cheerful, with a broad infectious smile, loving and caring, you have a heart of gold.

I can't bring myself to write this in the past tense, for I believe that you live on, for those who live and die in Christ never really die. You have gone ahead of us all, marked with the sign of Christ's Peace. Your life was brief but well-lived. You are an example of the Proverbs 31 woman. You fought the fight, the crown of glory awaits you. That is our faith and our consolation, that is our prayer.

Goodnight dear Kate, Rest in Peace, till we meet to part no more.

Sam, we commit you and your lovely children to God's care. May God continue to strengthen you. Rest assured that you have an angel in heaven. We pray with you for God's grace, mercy, and divine direction.

God knows best, He will never leave you nor forsake you.

"...Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works do follow them." (Revelation 14:13 KJV). No matter how and when, death though painful to family and friends is an immense blessing to they who die in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Death is an appointment (Hebrews 9:27). We therefore do not die by seniority.
Your home going is a painful one starting from your immediate family to all people of goodwill who shared in your life.
The testimonies indicating your rich legacies are already pouring in. You will be highly missed!
Thank God, it is not goodbye but goodnight. We will soon be united at the resurrection morning where we will meet to part no more.
We love you but God loves you most. Your work follows you but your legacies will live on. Alive in the hearts of loved ones, you are not dead.
Bro Sam and the kids, please be consoled in these. The good Lord will comfort you and grant you the fortitude to bear her home going.
SHALOM!

It's hard to write this piece in the past tense. Thoughts of this extremely sad occurrence leaves me devastated.

Kate, your abrupt exit at the age of 47 has thrown the entire Edoho's family in Eket, Nigeria into unbelievable moments of great grief.
It's like a bad dream; extremely painful & untimely!
But I refuse to question God at the time, place & method He chose to call you home. It is indeed sad that you
toiled assiduously without reaping the fruits of your labour.
We love you & miss u. You are indeed IRREPLACEABLE!

My Boss, you have been a wonderful inspiration to many people. You mean different things to different people but to me I see a total goal getter spirit in you. God has promised us long life in good health but for the lord to take your wife from your life is a matter only him can handle. You journey hours by air to be with your family every slightest opportunity. This shows how you value the unique union.
We can not comfort you enough but I pray that the Holy Spirit will because He is the comforter. One thing is very certain God will give divine coverage to you and the children. Affection of this nature will never come the second time.
Be strong sir and be comforted in God's Word.

CASOR UNN CONTEMPORARIES (CLASS OF 1980S)
Bro Sam Edoho
Beloved,
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE TRANSITION OF YOUR BELOVED WIFE
It is with great shock that we, your brethren, CASOR UNN CONTEMPORARIES (CLASS OF 1980S), The Joyful Fellowship, received the news of the home going of your dearly beloved wife Mrs Chiedu Kate Edoho which took place on 29th March 2021.

The bond between you and your late wife was so strong and lovely. This made her transition at this time most painful. It is no gainsaying that you greatly miss her.

However, we want you to take solace in the fact that her life was impactful, fruitful and productive. She has left a rich legacy not only for you and the kids but for the body of Christ at large.

Secondly, from the experience of the Biblical Prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel 24:16-18, there is a purpose in everything God allows to happen to His men. And that purpose will ultimately prove to be in their best interest.

May the comfort of the Lord abound to you and your immediate family in particular and your larger families. May the peace of the Lord that transcends all understanding garrison your hearts and minds. May you come through this experience stronger at your broken places.

Our prayers are with you continually. Do accept our sincere condolences.

Signed:

Pastor Odimma, Ebere.

I couldn't believe when I heard this shocking news. I worked very closely with Kate for 2 yrs and got to know so much about her, kids and family . I saw her outside of work two days prior where she introduced me to her husband with the same big smile we all got so used to. I really do not have words to express my sorrow as you left this world too soon . You had such an impact on colleaguse and clients you worked with and your smile was contagious .You will be truly missed by so many of RBC family. My thoughts and prayers are with your kids and family during this very difficult time.

Dear Kate,

Without having had an opportunity to meet with you in person, my friendship with Mr. Sam quickly revealed the beautiful family behind his ever-cheerfulness. Indeed, you were the woman behind that cheerfulness...

It's only sad to know that you're gone even when my family had huge hope of meeting with you someday.

Rest in peace!

*_You Live On*_

Like rapture, you suddenly within a blink of the eye, departed having had fellowship with the family you pledged Sam, "Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God." Ruth 1:16.

With your ever smiling face, you left us with a glory that reminds us of the one on Moses' face, that the Israelites must cover their faces with a veil, before they could gaze at him.

The memories of the jokes and fun you brought to your family, colleagues, church/fellowship members and friends alike, will linger for a long time to come in many lives you have touched in many ways.

We're rest assured you fought a good fight..., 2Tim.4.7 - I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

Without a doubt, because the Bible tells us so and by the Spirit, You Live On.
We therefore mourn not like the hopeless for we know that resurrection awaits you, 1Thess. 4:13-18.

Rest on Kate, till we meet to part no more. Adeau.

Chief Sam,
What a sad news to hear of the departure of your wife.
I know how lovely and how close you were together from the little discussion we had and I had hoped I would meet her on this divide.
She has answered the call earlier than us. If we believe that heaven is a better place, then we should not sorrow much as our Sister your wife has gone ahead to a better place.
As she has joined the saints triumphant, we the ones left here pray that God keep you and the rest of us prepared to meet her and the Lord someday sometime.
May God comfort you and may her Soul rejoice evermore

Uncle Sam., we received the news of Aunty Kate's demise in total disbelieve. Over the last couple of days and following our visit and engagement with you and your lovely children, we have come to realise its true. Kate is gone but we still feel the warmth and genuineness in her smiles in that home. She was receptive and very engaging the times we met. She will be missed but her foot prints of love and openness would linger on.
Good night and thanks for coming our way; Keep glowing Kate...

This is yet to get over me, at least not in the years to come, I had to personalize this to you MRS Kate Edoho, my god father’s wife his alter ego. I have come to enjoy this very special relationship with my God father which has stood the taste of time. Why? Because it was about two years ago, when you came to Nigeria with him, and we had that lovely time-out/dinner on your birthday, and that was when the consciousness of your birthday rekindled in me, that were both birthday mates and age mates. I deeply feel your exit Kate, though painful but rejoice for the life you lived, so impactful and evidently seen by all. Our consolations is that, you are now in his blossom and one of his beloved angels. Rest well Kate, till we meet on the resurrection day. Papa Sam please once again just be strong on this wise, that your beloved wife is in Gods bosom.

Dearest Bro Sam, this is still such a rude shock, I was supposed to visit you and your beautiful family in Airdrie this February, to meet your very hospitable wife, but it didn’t work due to bad weather , and we had postponed to my next visit. Rejoice that you spent more than half of Kate’s life with her, and God blessed you both with 3 lovely children, rejoice that Kate had a relationship with the Master, rejoice that She left indelible sweet memories, Jehova will soothe the pain of her loss, and in His infinite wisdom fill the vacuum she left in your hearts! Comfort, comfort my dearly beloved brother and family! You remain in our prayers.
