Chief Joseph Akpojevwe Owumi Snr. Though we met through work with Harvard. We became so close that we are more like a bonded family. He and his entire family are always part of my adventures in life. He was always part of my decision and very supportive of my several projects morally and financially.
His generosity is second to none, always willing to assist with all that he got.
Your sojourn on the planet though short but eventful and of high impact.
You will forever be in my heart and Wii do all within my capacity to ensure your legacy is not erazed.
Rest on good man!

The Idonor r'Ovie of the Great Ughelli Kingdom, Chief (Dr) Joseph Owumi Sr was simply 'Joe' to me. We had been very close since our early lives in our town, Eruemukohwarien, being my cousin from his mother's side. He was my "personal person" as we say in Nigeria. Joe was a pillar in his two families - the Owumi (his fathers family) and the Edafeaga (his mother's family). He was well loved by both families.

His wife, the inimitable Olorogun (Mrs) Claudia Leigh Owumi, the Ehwe r'Ovie of the Great Ughelli Kingdom in Nigeria has been a great asset to the Edafeaga family (Joe's mother's family) since the home call of our brother Joe.

I cannot forget the royal treatment my wife and I got when we paid Claudia and Joe a visit in Boston in August, 2014. The one week stay with them at their home in Boston Massachusetts was very memorable. We traveled together to Atlanta for the Urhobo Progress Union, America Convention of that year.

Adieu, my brother Joe.
May your soul continue to rest in peace in the bosom of the Lord.

Olorogun Edoreh Agbah, the Ugbugba of Ughelli Kingdom
Olorogun (Mrs) Joy Agbah, the Ogberhovwo of Ughelli Kingdom.

My Loving Husband and the Father of our wonderful children. We are doing well under your guidance, my loving angel. My beloved, it was just yesterday that we had our last conversation and the last words that came from your mouth. I am fine and finding life without different without you but I know that you are supporting the family in our journey without you. I thank you for your life and our life together. Rest my beloved. Peace and Blessings to you. Love, your loving wife, Claudia L. Owumi
