At this memorial time of this visionary entrepreneur and gentleman, I am sure the family will take great solace in the fact that the 6 decades he lived was packed full of self accomplishment; especially from a very humble beginning. I pray those he left behind will immotalise him in a manner that carry forward his ideas and ideals.

A research on Nigerian enterprise in the 70s to 90s brought me to surprise report of the death of this great man.

What a visionary mind, who inspired people from very far unknowingly. Growing up in Esan part of Edo State in the early 80s, the best Tv reception we could get was from NTA Enugu and later other State owned stations in the Old Imo and Anambra. I watched several interviews of this gentleman who spoke and made his points on all Business issues with clarity and simplicity. Over the years, I read more about him in the Business sphere. Like every flower in our land, which the system prefers to trample, they did all to weaken his strength. I am sure his family and friends would take joy in knowing that wherever the history of Nigeria's enterprise and industrialisation is written, his will never be forgotten. He blazed the odds and lived a highly rewarded life.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Chief Onwuka Kalu OFR is gone but he was a born again Christian and died in the Lord. When one die, we may think a life is lost but to those who know God, the recovery of that life is even greater than the life lived in the flesh. To live is Christ and to die is gain. (Phil. 1:21) Therefore, Chief Onwuka Kalu is not dead; he will ever live in the hearts of his admirers and those he admired and loved. Farewell Okpuzu of Abiriba.

A mighty Iroko has fallen. Africa has lost a great technocrat, Nigeria an industrialist, the Igbos an entrepreneur, an illustrious son and a sage.
It is very painful to know that you have gone to be with your maker with all the plans that you have for our fatherland and your family.
I was hoping that you will pull through this illness as you always do in the past. I was devastated to learn of your transition to glory few hours ago. I couldn’t believe it. While we mourn your departure here on earth, I know that heaven is rejoicing because an angel has returned.
My hand is shaking as I type this because I don't know what to tell your wife (Nelly) when I see her. Chief, your departure is simply a great loss that words cannot express. My consolation is that you departed this word as a great soldier of Christ.
Your contributions and advice in our local church (RCCG OPEN HEAVENS, EDGWARE) will be greatly missed.
Thanks for the time we spent together. Your brotherly advice and words of wisdom has made me a better person.
Adieu Okpuzu of Igboland.
Sleep tight in the Lord’s bosom my brother in Christ.

My great senior associate, adviser, is gone. The years spent was less than 61 but the volume of achievements and no of people impacted could make someone think you were above 100 years.
Africa has lost one of her illustruos son. You were a great philanthropist, enterprenuer, industrialist, very inteligent and a good leader.
You were a man of many skills, the young ones sought your advice , the politicians never stop visiting you for opinion, Head of States needed your enterpreneuship skill. You were very accommodating and peace loving. I will miss you. May your gently soul rest in perfect peace.

Ogbo m!! Your demise is a great tragedy to deal with. Words can't exactly describe how it feels knowing that you're no more! Your words of encouragement keeps playing on my mind each time the wave of life hits hard on me, the little your shared with me about your journey through life and your success story constantly reminds me that through hard work, dedication & honesty, a man can achieve all that he desires with God on his side. I have no doubts you're up above in the heavens, you will truly be missed. I love u okpuzu. Truly yours. Onwuka Odunze.
