To our dear Henrietta and children

October 5, 2021
As you will be well aware, our dear Henrietta and Children, I never really recall meeting with your husband and dad personally. Schooling for university and living in Ibadan at a time you had all become a VI, Lagos family & active law and Bar family while we are a medical teaching hospital one at the time I got to know your mum meant that we hardly had time to meet other than for serious medical and organizational issues, especially at church-related programmes.

However, the serenity and ease of life that Henrietta carried with her reflected unequivocally the home family that she came from. The thoroughness with which she approached & dealt with every responsibility or assignment that she undertook reflected the same home background, surely. So when I began to see, hear and read about your dad, everything came into a symphony with what I had intuitively come to know.

So, as we condole with you and bid farewell to Ladi, we remind you that with this long going home & background to your lives, you should go the rest of life placidly as you have learnt to and have lived! "The souls of the faithful who have experienced a bodily death are in the hands of God and no evil may ever reach them again", says both Wisdom and the Christian Scriptures. So rest on those solid grounds and much more! God be with you, all!

With great love & affection,

Professor Michael Asuzu and family at Ibadan.
