OBITUARY

With unreserved gratitude to God, and a gracious sense of celebration of a wonderful life in service to God and indelible mark on humanity, The entire Ogundimu Family humbly announce the transition to eternal rest in Christ of our dear Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend; Chief Zacchaeus Olawale Ogundimu who passed onto eternal glory on the 30th April 2021.

As an exemplary, inspirational and irreplaceable soldier of Christ; loving and adorable husband, responsible father, generous grandfather, accommodating brother and loyal friend, we are inevitably imbued with a great sense of loss for the void his departure left the Family, Church, Community and World at large. But we are unequivocally grateful to celebrate Christ’s eternal footprint in the sand of time through Daddy’s inspiring life of dedication, valour and unforgettable servanthood and work.

Rest in Perfect Peace in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

SPIRITUAL LIFE

Special Apostle Prophet (Dr.) Sir Zaccheaus Olawale OGUNDIMU JP was born as a Christian into the Anglican Sect. As a teenager, he was a staunch member of the Anglican fold serving majorly in the Choir which was a tradition among his age group at that time.

In 1980, he joined the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church, Ilasamaja- Mushin where he worshipped devotedly until he relocated to his house at Idimu Axis from Mushin Axis all in present day Lagos State.

At Idimu, he pitched his tent and worshipped at Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church, Idimu (which later became a District Headquarters). While at Idimu Church, some members were Commissioned to embark on weekly and Sunday Services on a marshy land at Igando Road, Ikotun. Those members were led by MSA (later Spec. Apostle) Pro. Rev. Dr. J.O. OGUNLANA JP (now deceased) serving as the Minister (later Leader, District Supervising prophet & Deputy District Chairman), Snr. Apostle ( Later MSA) Sunday BAILEY as Church Secretary and Snr. Apostle Z.O. OGUNDIMU as Deputy Church Secretary.

To the glory of God Almighty, the Church grew in leaps and bounds and is what is today known as the SPRING OF JOY CATHEDRAL, IKOTUN (IDIMU DISTRICT) – an offshoot of the C&S MOVEMENT CHURCH, WORLDWIDE.

In July, 2002, Most Snr. Apostle Sunday BAILEY (Pioneer Church Secretary) handed over the baton of Secretary-ship of the Church to Snr. Apostle Z.O. OGUNDIMU (as he was then known)

Snr. Apostle Z.O. In view of this he was nominated and anointed as a Most Snr. Apostle in the year 2008.

In November 2015, as a result of the demise of the pioneer Leader in Charge of the Church, Spec. Apostle Pro. Rev. Dr. J.O. OGUNLANA JP, there existed an urgent need the reorganization of the administrative echelon of the Church, Daddy OGUNDIMU JP was elevated from Church Secretary to Deputy Leader/ Church Administrator - an office he held, served and guarded diligently until his transition to eternity.

It has been attested to by all and sundry that that epoch making event was a resounding success.

To the glory of God Almighty, Alagba OGUNDIMU as many prefer to call him during his stint in the prophetic ministry was confirmed and ordained into the Prophetic Ministry of the C&S Movement Church at the 44TH edition of the ascension of Mount Horeb.

Special mention must be made of his robust relationship and closeness to His Grace, The Spiritual Father and Chairman, C&S Movement Church, Worldwide –His Grace, Most Rev’d Pro. Dr. Samuel Adefila ABIDOYE who was a strong pillar of support for all of his achievements in all assignment undertaken by him. This prompted Daddy’s conferment with the highly distinguished post of a KNIGHT of the C&S Movement Church, Worldwide in the year 2014.

Amongst others, some of his contributions to the development of Christ includes but not limited to;

2 TIMOTHY 4:6-7
For I am already poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

C&S HYMS 816: JESUS THOU MY LORD MY KING
JESUS Thou my Lord my King
In Thee rest I all my trust
In this world none that I have
Beside Thee my Royal King
Thus vindicate me oh Lord
Vanquish‘d let all my foes be
Grant me joy and victory
Through my sojourn here on earth.

Give me Thine grace Lord I plead
Make me fit Thine own to be
Me un-equalled by my foes
Make my life rosy I plead
Thou who did for Queen Esther
Made her life rosy to her
Turn my life so rosy be
The plans of my foes abort.

Make me prevail Lord I plead
Thou prime of all pow’rs and strength
Impact of the foes to naught
Lord before Thine pow'r divine
Thus my Great God Creator
Subdue all my foes I plead
From my foes Thine rest me grant
From troubles I may prevail.

Thou art been from ages past
Thou art before creation
Thus my Christ Jesus Saviour
All Thine affections reveal
That may I thus experience
Thine glory Lord and Thine strength
That the world may thus behold
Thou art all encompassing power.

Encapsulate me with Thine grace
With Thine glory me surround
Thine divine strength my refuge be
Thine name my refuge I plead
Thus far that Thine I may be
Shield me from all glare and snares
From the devil, me protect
My life with joy fill I plead.

When I in heaven appear
In Thine bosom let me be
By Thine right side let me be
On Thine revered throne make me fit
Then my heart with joy be filled
In Thy glory eternal;
ln divine joy eternal
In unfading grace Oh Lord.  Amen

C&S HYMN 319: THE STRIFE IS O'VER
Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvellous things. His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. Psalm 98:1
ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA!! ALLELUIA!!!
The strife is o‘er, the battle done
The victory of the life is won
The song of triumph has begun. Alleluia!

The powers of death have done their worst
But Christ their legions hath dispersed
Let shouts of holy joy outbursts. Alleluia!

The three sad days have quickly spent
He rises glorious from the dead
All glory to our risen Head. Alleluia!

He breaks the age-bound chain of hell
The bars from heavens portals fell
Let hymns of praise His triumph tell. Alleluia!

Lord, by the stripes which wounded
Thee From death‘s dread sting thy servants free
That we may live, and sing to Thee. Alleluia!

Amen.
E korin titun si Oluwa nitori ti o ti se ohun iyanu. - Psalm 98:1

This is still a dream to me . I still can’t believe you are gone daddy. I shovel between calling you Daddy and Mr Ogundimu. I took a lot from you and my father which is not giving up no matter what. You never knew you were a source of inspiration to me about life hustle and about always trying to be strong in the Lord. You lived a good life no matter what. I will never forget the lovely gesture you always extend to the ALABI family . You showed us genuine love which I will forever appreciate, I never had the opportunity to tell you this face to face that you are a great man, a warrior , a soldier , a sweet man . Even when some find it hard to relate to you I still always find it easy to observe you because you are full of life . Please sleep well , I know you are in a better place and you are sleeping. You will be greatly missed . Thank you for everything. Bye bye Sir.

Daddy Ogundimu...Baba Ogundimu! I am saddened that death took you away. Death changes everything! You lived a great life.

A thousand words can't bring you back neither would a million tears! One of the greatest lessons I learnt from you is "trusting your innate instinct in making the right decision at the right time without considering distractions - market noise "

So many great words of wisdom I learnt from you as a disciplinarian and father who always say the truth and nothing but the truth.

The bible says in all things we should give thanks to the Lord. You have gone to be with the Lord.

May God in His infinite mercy grant you eternal rest

My grandpa, a man of many of many talents. It is shocking grandpa died this early, I never expected him to go.
Grandpa was my hero, I remember reporting people who annoyed me to him and I would also brag about him to my late maternal grandmother saying ,' Do you know who my grandfather is?' I always dreamt he would be at my wedding.
Grandpa was a rare gem, he was strict and kind at the same time. His family was his number one priority and he always found a way to provide for us. I remember the time he told me stories about how he used to run as a teen and how he would personally loosen my hair himself if it was rough, he always wanted me to look beautiful. I will forever miss him and his smile.
Sleep tight in the Lord's Bossom.

We would miss jumping on your bed and watching television in your room. We would also miss the way you used to call us, you called

I know for certain that we never loose the people we love, even to death.
They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.
A good father you were, a friend indeed, a man everyone loved to be around, your wisdom was second to none, you taught us virtues of life and instilled in us great values; these we can never forget.

We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared your love. Continue to rest on Daddy till will meet to part no more

Dad, it is gruesome and difficult to come to terms with the fact that you have passed on. I am deeply pained by your sudden departure, this hurts beyond words, it hurts!

You will be remembered for many things by many people but, for me Daddy, your direct approach to life, bereft of hypocrisy, greatly impacted me, you do not pretend! Your principled and open approach is greatly appreciated Dad; it personally taught, grew, matured and blessed me without reservation.

Daddy, talking of being a blessing, you were undoubtedly a profound blessing to me and my family. At most significant of times, you sacrificed for us. Your sacrifice was unquantifiable and sincere. As father, you stood up for, with and up to me when momentous and the impact indelible. You were outstanding in your opinion, values and identity as well as your charisma. In this, you remained a reference point for me, my wife and my children. You were a wellspring of wonderful and comforting memories that we will forever cherish.

Love is a word most frequently used but not most genuinely expressed, Truth is a reality most swiftly alluded to but yet not obviously lived, but by God’s undiluted Grace we proclaim an unquestionable truth that you are loved, very much loved by us. I am immensely grateful to God, our Father, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ for you and consoled that your soul is SAVED. We, most definitely, shall meet reconciled with our Eternal Father in the everlasting bliss and peace unaffected and devoid of this worldly drama.

I loved you Dad; still truly love you and will surely forever love you. Rest on Dad!

It is with a heavy heart that I write. Not in my wildest dreams did I ever dream that I would write a tribute to you this soon.

You were a father to me even before becoming my father in law. You loved us all very much. You were ‘Mr Romantic’ you knew how to treat a woman well. I remember you carrying my bag for me when I was pregnant with Temiloluwa. I also remember you summoning me to your room because I couldn’t not eat during the first trimester, you told them to prepare Eba for me to eat in your presence and instructed mummy to start cooking for me.

Daddy respected my faith and beliefs and never pressured me to do things his way. If I needed anything I would come directly to you to ask for it. I remember you saying ‘ omo yi o beru mi’

Your grandchildren idolized you. I guess it’s because you started taking care of them right from the womb. Daddy was generous and would give his grandchildren whatever they asked from him.

Daddy respected every member of my family and did not relate with them as in laws at all.

I sorely miss you daddy, you have left a lacuna that no one can fill but I know and believe God’s plans for you are good.

Rest in perfect peace

Z.O, my father my father. How I wish for you to have lived a little much longer. So many things left unsaid.

I vividly remember my stubborn days, how you scolded me and still stood by me in the face of adversity.

I cherish and will always adore your last days on earth. You fought well but I knew within me that the pain was becoming more unbearable for you.
The vacuum can never be filled and you shall always be close to my heart.

Adieu my mentor.

Grandpa frequently visited us here in England. He was a special person to me. I remember that on nearly every single occasion he and grandma visited us, he always had something special to give to us. I remember the times he would joke with me in his bedroom every time I came to greet him. I also remember he would always pray for us in the mornings and how happy he would be to see us and vice versa. I pray that as he continues to live and go into a new era in his life, that his legacy here on earth will never be forgotten. I know that he would have touched many people’s lives back in Nigeria too and changed them for the better.

Thinking back to when he and grandma visited us, I realise that the main purpose of them spending money to come to England was to visit us. He would make occasional outings to shop but the majority of the time was spent with us at home and I realise how much love he has for us. God bless you, grandpa, and may you continually rest in peace until we meet again in the presence of God. Amen

My Grandpa Ogundimu is a wonderful person. I respect him a lot as a person for multiple reasons: he is firm and unwavering in his beliefs and serious about life. His unshakable faith in God is another admirable thing about him. He is brutally honest and never shies away from the truth. He is an active man - never wanting to be coddled or pampered - and was always on his feet whenever I saw him.

With all these said, he is a kind man; gentle-hearted and loving towards me. The highlights of my conversations with him are probably when we’re conversing in Spanish and the rest of the family don’t know what we’re talking about. This motivated and encouraged me to do well in my Spanish classes so that I can continue to speak with him. He is a person that I could just be with and enjoy his presence without speaking, but our silence spoke volumes.

I refer to him, not in the past tense because he is not someone who was, but is, thanks to Christ. According to the words of Jesus in the Gospel according to John: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”

Special daddy from God,
I can only but thank God for your life.
A life of great courage - not a weakling
A life of seriousness - no messing about
A life of Godliness - very religious
A life of prayer - knowing it’s a rod
A life of peace - quick to accept fault and apologise
A life of merry - never a dull moment
A life of fun - took each moment as it came

Your virtues were numberless; loving, kind, very hardworking, fun-loving, fun-to-be with, Godly, critical, detailed, down-to-earth, courageous, thoughtful, understanding, gave responsibly, vocal, confident, business-minded, not afraid to try new ventures, such a great personality.

I know we will meet at Jesus’ feet some day and on that day I will ask these burdening questions; daddy why did you leave us unannounced? why did you make us go through this terrible pain? why did you leave a terrible void in our hearts without any hint? I will make sure I make heaven, God help me, in the meantime, rest on, sleep on and enjoy your rest at the bosom of the saviour.

Shalom!

Dear Dad,
I'm still finding it difficult to digest the fact that you have gone to be with the Lord but my solace rests in the fact that you lived a good life. You were so energetic and full of life. You loved us so dearly and sacrificed so much for us. Who do I run to now when I'm facing life's challenges, when I need words of advice and encouragement? Your wisdom was second to none. You will be sorely missed. Keep resting in God's bosom till we meet again.
