The Daddy!
May your deeply cherished and gentle spirit never depart from us in Jesus' name. Amen
  • 79 years old
  • Born on July 27, 1938 in Ajalli, Anambra, Nigeria.
  • Passed away on July 4, 2018 in Enugu, Enugu, Nigeria.

This memorial website was created in memory of Daddy, Mazi Chima H. O. Ofong, who slipped into eternity on July 4, 2018.  A greatly loved Husband, Father( & Father-in-law), Grand-Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend; the quintessential gentleman, pillar of integrity and bulwark of support to all that met him in life.

Daddy, it remains incredulous that we are at this juncture where we have our hearts overflowing with fond memories of your tireless love but unable to hear the rich timbre of your voice or be enveloped in your characteristic warm bear hug.

You are sorely sorely missed daddy. You are painfully missed each passing minute.

You remain the essence of your family, Daddy, you remain the flavour in us.

We all miss you interminably.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Chima Hubert Okoro Ofong family. Death, while apart of life as we know it, is never easy. It only brings sorrow! But did you know the Bible (the source of comfort) has a wonderful hope for everyone? Please read (in your copy of the Bible) Acts chapter 24 verse 15, then turn to John chapter 5 verse 28 & 29, then Psalm 37:10 & 11...all of these verses bring comfort. First, because there will be a resurrection. Second, the resurrection is to LIFE. And third, Life where???...on EARTH. I invite you to visit the website: There you will find a host of books, magazines, and videos (in your language) that can help you cope with every aspect of your life. Again I am truly sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Brie San

Daddy! It's still a huge shock that you are no more. You were so full of life...kind hearted, more than a perfect gentleman and always ready to listen. You were a strong pillar of support to your family especially young Muna and will be sorely missed by all who knew you. I for sure will miss the great conversations and excellent culinary skills. Ngozi,Chinekwu and Kene.. May God give you the heart to bear this huge loss. May His Angels surround you all at this time and know that my prayers are with you all and your Mum. May the soul of Mazi Chima Ofong rest in Perfect Peace. Amen.

The loss of a dear relative is always excruciatingly painful. The fond memories however assuage to some degree the emptiness of the loss. Ngozi dear I have no doubt you have a lot of these memories to carry you on...please take heart...the Good Lord will comfort you and members of your family...concern yourself with the things that will continue to make your dad proud as he watches over you...May he rest on I pray.

Dearest Uncle Chima, It’s so hard to believe that you’ve transitioned to heaven. The void left by your departure is palpable, and you are sorely missed. May God grant all of us mourning your absence the fortitude to bear this huge loss, but particularly may He tightly envelope Aunty Nky, Ngozi, Chinekwu and Kene with his unfailing comfort and grace during this difficult time. Rest on in perfect peace Uncle Chima
