Joe was born the last of the eight children of Mr. and Mrs. Samson Ukaegbu.

Married Chidinma Sabena Ufomadu on the 30th of December, 2005. Both became parents of David and Adaku.

Suffered from congenital heart failure.

Died in a Lagos hospital after exhaustive care from a team of cardiologists.
