My beautiful friend Chris, I will not forget all the times we shared together.  You welcomed me into the fellowship & gave me a medallion with the recovery symbol.  As you pressed it into my hand, you told me I would never have to be alone again.  Since then I have come to realize that.  And you were not alone either.  I feel blessed to have been part of your chosen family to help you through your difficult times.  Your lovely voice and our singing together was so joyful.  Your understanding and compassion helped me immensely.  I remember our vacation together out to Ft Davis, rescuing the guys when they ran out of gas & the amazing sights of the heavens we saw at the McDonald Observatory.   Vaya con Dios, my friend.

Like many women on my journey, God put Chris in my life for a purpose. Her experience, strength, and hope was an inspiration and much needed guiding light in my darkness. When I needed her the most, she was there for me and my entire family. Her gentle, drill sergeant approach to my denial gave me the courage to face the hidden corners of my heart and soul and bring them into the light. And, then lovingly, she walked me through my fears,  and helped me face my demons and conquer manyof them. I will love and cherish her always and am grateful God’s given me another angel in heaven to watch over me. I miss you and can’t wait to sing with you in God’s chorus someday!!
