Chris , you are gone but not forgotten. I know you and Faye are at peace and happy together.
Chris Darnell Hurt, Sr. 76, a resident of Stem passed away November 29, 2018 at his home.
He was born August 13, 1942 in West Virginia to the late Daniel Mack Hurt and Mary Ellen Hurt. Chris was a member of Welcome Baptist Church in Hillsborough and worked in the construction business most of his life.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem by Rev. Ken Stanley.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years, Janet Hurt of the home; two daughters, Ellen Rimmer (Daniel) of Roxboro, Robin Fuller (Daniel) of Butner; two sons, Chris D. Hurt, Jr (Connie) of Rougemont, David D. Hurt (Shannon) of Berea; sister, Mae White of Stem and brothers, Robert Hurt, Dannie Hurt, both of Durham; grandchildren, Josh, Cara, Daisey, Tyler, Stephen, Doug and Vikki; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Emma, Kayla, Caroline, Anna, Irene, Daniella.
