Christian Millet passed away peacefully in his home on September 17th after a difficult battle with brain cancer. He was born on the same day, September 17 1958, in Sélestat, France.
Christian was a loving father, a caring husband, and a generous and loyal friend. He grew up and completed his studies in Paris, France, before moving to the United States where he led the successful expansion of Logfret Inc., a Worldwide Logistics Company founded by his father in the early 1970s. Beyond his many business accomplishments, he dedicated his life to furthering Franco-American relationships through his involvement with the French Army Reserve and civil organizations such as “The French Will Never Forget”. For his many distinguished accomplishments, Christian received numerous military and civil awards. He was awarded the medal of l’Ordre du Mérite National and decorated Chevalier of the French Legion Of Honor.
Christian Millet is survived by his parents, Anne-Marie and Jean-Francois Millet; his wife, Andrea; brother, Marc; sons Sebastien and Alexandre; daughter-in-law, Guada; grandchildren Noah and Zoë.
The family would like to thank Dr. Goldlust and his staff at the John Theurer Center of Hackensack, New Jersey, as well as Samuel Nimako from Atlantic Home Care for their efforts and dedication.

Je viens d'apprendre le départ de Christian Millet, je suis vraiment trop triste et choquée.
Christian, un homme de Coeur et très ouvert a cru en moi et m'a donné ma premiere chance dans le monde du travail.

Acceptez mes sincères condoléances. Bien que je n'ai pas été une proche amie de Christian que j'ai rencontré il y a 3 ans au sein des CCEF, je garderai en mémoire son large sourire et sa gentillesse. Un soir que nous dinions avec les Picot à Southamton, Christian m'a posé des questions sur moi. Je lui ai raconté ma vie en Afrique, et je lui ai parlé d'un tout petit bled au nord du pays, Zouerate, que personne ne connait et où j'ai passé 3 ans. Le lendemain, Christian m'envoyait des phiotos de Zouerate où il était passé! J'en garde un souvenir ému. RIP Christian Millet

Voila deja plusieurs jours que tu nous as quitte et ma douleur ne va pas en diminuant. Tu as toujours ete et sera toujours trop cher a mon coeur pour que ton depart puisse un jour etre moins douloureux pour moi, pour nous tous. Nous avons construit tellement de choses ensemble, avec toi, Jean Pierre et Patrick, des projets fous que seuls notre amitie si forte pouvait arriver a rendre realite. Ton volontarisme permanent, ta generosite, tes capacites d'homme d'affaire chevronne, ton sens de l'organisation, ton amitie precieuse, ton affection, ton sourire et ta bonne humeur systematique, vont nous manquer a tous. Mais je sais que tu seras toujours aupres de nous tous et surtout aupres de ta merveilleuse famille sur qui tu veilleras comme tu l'as toujours fait. Mille pensées pour toi Anne-Marie, et Jean-François, et Marc et toute la famille de Christian. Que de bons souvenirs de notre adolescence, quand Christian nous disait à L'Alpe d'Huez "lao sur la montagne"en regardant les cimes.... nos descentes à ski effrénées, nos séances de patins à glace, et pour finir la mousse au chocolat ou la coupe Ermenonville à 'hôtel avec le serveur dont nous nous moquions bien... Tu nous manques Christian, tu étais vraiment mon pote d'enfance avec lequel on rigolait bien. Je ne t'oublierai jamais.

Les membres de la famille Baliozian se joignent à moi pour exprimer toute notre émotion et tristesse à la nouvelle de la maladie et du décès de Christian. Les Millets et Baliozian nous sommes rencontrés à l’hôtel Les Grandes Rousses de l’Alpe d’Huez lorsque Christian, Marc et moi étions en culotte-courtes, et mes sœurs Karen et Patricia en jupes ? Les amitiés se sont nouées entre nos parents, et tout particulièrement entre Marc et moi, bien que nous nous rencontrions que plus rarement depuis mon départ à Chicago.
Christian : je te pardonne de m’avoir lancé un coup de point à la figure ☺. Marc et moi étions probablement insupportables (à tes yeux). 40 années plus tard, le monde s’est assombri avec ton départ prématuré.

Christian was a dear, dear friend who will be very greatly missed. Kind, generous and totally engaged, he brought genuine fun, joy and enlightenment to every time we met. Our world is a better place thanks to Christian. His remarkable spirit and love are now in another place, where that sparkle shines ever brightly.

Christian was a great friend. He is such a sincere gentleman with a big handsome smile. You are both such dear friends adding a richness of love into my life that I feel so blessed. I have so many happy memories, of hikes and talks and parties, the wonderful enjoyment of friends. All of our adventures bring a smile to my face, many causing a burst of laughter. I can never forget Christian's smile, generosity, great sense of humor or his willingness to talk with a friend. May he rest in peace.

I was terribly sorry to hear of Christian's illness and death.

Nous sommes très tristes d'apprendre que Christian n'est plus.Nous l'avons connu,mais pas assez, à French will never forget et sommes heureux d'avoir été à ses cotés à Omaha beach et d'avoir partagé les mêmes valeurs auxquelles il était tellement attaché.Et puis quel homme de coeur et quel professionalisme dans les évènements réalisés.Il nous reste le livre réalisé,les photos et films sur lesquels il figure en bonne place.Nous embrassons de loin sa famille et pensons bien à elle.

On dit souvent que les monstres durent et les meilleurs partent...Tu étais ce qu'il y a de meilleur dans la nature humaine. Ta gentilesse, ta patience, ta sincerité, ce don de rassembler chacun, cette volonté d'être toujours là et pour tout le monde....Comment ne pas être en colère aujourd'hui contre cette injustice ! Nous te pleurons mon cher Christian parce que tu étais de ces hommes que l'on aimait ! Et ce sentiment était unanime ! Touts ceux qui t'ont connu te pleurent aujourd'hui...La peine est immense. ALors de la haut, continues de veuiller sur ceux que tu aimes et sache que tu restes à jamais dans nos mémoires et dans nos coeurs.

Christian was always kind to us and we will miss him. He was the guy that no matter what he was doing or where he was traveling to, he would always respond yes to our parties. He was all smiles and I am happy to have known him. My family will have his friends and loved ones in our thoughts during this tough time and Christian will live on in my thoughts forever.

There are no words to express this extreme sadness and I am above all wishing the Millet family all the strength and courage necessary to cope with this terrible loss. My prayers go out to this wonderful family.
Christian will never be forgotten! His smile, his witty sense of humour, his clear pin pointing and graciousness in saying exactly what needed to be said in just a few words, his inspiration and energy and yes, his capacity to understand everyone and so much more.
It just seems incredible that earlier in the year, while he was possibly already feeling some weakness, he took the time to coach me over the Atlantic so that we were able to get tremendous financial help from ARKAS Hellas Greece for a container of relief supplies we shipped from Portugal to Lesvos.
I feel very honoured to have had the chance to meet Christian and his family. Alex, I will be thinking of you when you run the NY Marathon on November 6th. Thank you Sebastien for setting this up. Your dad was so very special to so many and will be sorely missed.

Cher Christian, tu as été mon premier pote à mon arrivée à NY en 1984, et tu es resté un ami depuis, même si j'ai quitté NY en 1990. Aujourd'hui, à quelques jours de mes 58 ans, je suis immensément triste. J'embrasse tendrement toute la famille. Patrick

Christian will be missed, Our Prayers and Blessings for him and The Millet Family. Always a trusted business partner . He made me very proud one day visiting my office and seeing my father's award on my wall from the French Government for his service in WW 11. We was at the ceremony when my father was presented "Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by President Sarkozy. Rest in Peace my Friend

This picture epitomizes Christian to me. Those are rolls of fabric that were shipped to his office by mistake (not his!). He really should have been mad but it just wasn't in his nature. When I told him no way those goods would be in NJ this is the email I got minutes later. Such a kind, caring man who was a great help to me professionally and who I was proud to call a friend.

Christian I'm not much on words but you've been there for me thru the death of my mom, the death of my 22yr old step son, thru my dad death and thru my father in law death. What can I say, you've always encouraged me during those sad moments if my life. Let's not forget the biggest moment when I was diagnosed with breast cancer again fie the second time. We've always been family and I will continue to be with Logfret family. Till we meet again. Tell all my love ones in heaven I love them dearly. MUAH Ciao
