FOREVER MOM, WIFE AND GRANDMA  - Christina Ewube Ayukegba
My Mom, my hero
Mom, the holder of her time
Master of her time
But Not the owner of it
For God's time is the best

Mom was full of life
Strong, stylish in her loving ways
Resilient to the illness
That rocked late stages of her life
For God's time is the best

Happiness is now
Mom whispered,
Smiles at my daughter, Mayah
Overwhelming joy of a grandma
For God's time is the best

Christiana one of a kind,
Sweet Mother a.k.a Madame la Fondatrice
Holder of her time
Master of her time
Time, the wheel of constant motion
For God's time is the best

Mom, Madame la Foundatrice
Pillar, foundation of the Ayukegbas
Devoted Wife, Mom and Grandma
Rest well, Rest in Peace
But Lord Knows
God's time is the best

Tribute to MaWube from Ijang

MaWube it has taken me awhile to believe you are gone. When I got the bombshell, I screamed then went speechless.
The strong bond we shared as a family will remain unforgettable memories.
MaWube with tears in my eyes you will be greatly missed. You always stopped me from crying, now the crying continues.
Rest peacefully my big sister. May your good deeds create a pathway as the gates of heaven open for the angels to welcome you.
I request the Lord to pick a bunch of roses from the garden in heaven and place them in your arms for me as I whisper how much I love and miss you.

*Tribute for Mama Christina*

It is hard to accept that you have left us; it hard to accept that we will no longer experience your infectious smile. It is hard to accept that we will no longer benefit from your gentle disposition and kindness. But we must accept that God your maker has finally called you into his kingdom to get a truly and well deserved rest.

Mama, memories of your smile, warmth, and generosity will live on forever in those who were lucky to have met you. You depart, but we are reassured that you are now in God’s Kingdom, reveling in His Glory. Rest In Peace until we meet again.

Fondly remembered by Edwin Tita.

One day at a time
Your glowing smile
Reaching for miles
Your soft embrace
The warmth remains
For days at a time

One week already passed
Your voice rings
Echoing in the winds
Your memory engulfs me
The thoughts remain
For weeks at a time

One month shall pass
Your cooking congregates
Longing, my mouth salivates
Your message radiates
The love remains
For months a time

One year shall pass
Your memory passed on
Tattooed for all to see
Always your grandchild
Always adudu mama
For years to come

Your grand daughter Ada

1-TRIBUTE TO MOMI CHRISTIE EWUBE AYUKEGBA

In life, it is often difficult to a point of dumbfoundedness to write or say (something like) goodbye to a likeable one.

I have known our dear Momi Christie for over thirty years through her husband Mr. Peter Ayukegba a ‘’BOBAN’’ since our college years in CPC-BALI in 1961 where we lived in ‘’SAKAR-HOUSE’’ and hence he is my ‘’BIG’’ and I am his ‘’SMALL’’ whom he must protect at all times. In his professional life, Pa Ayukegba fondly called PAFA, was a trained Senior Stall of the Ministry of Agriculture, a profession to which I also belonged. This is the solid linkage and therefore we lived together in each other’s home and share our likes and burdens.

2- MY REVENANTE IS GONE OOOH because of the many similar serious ill health crisis we both offen experienced; during which God mercifully restored our lives when we had been considered well dead; we nick-named ourselves as ‘’REVENANTE’’ actually meaning’’ living ghosts or the resurrected ones’’; so my dear revenante has finally transited!

3- GOOD WINE-TASTER! As ‘’revenant’’ Christians, we believe that our Lord and Saviour-Jesus Christ instituted and blessed good quality wine for mankind, first by changing water into surperb good wine at the marriage feast at canan (John 2:1-11) and during the last super in the upper room with his disciples (Mark 14:22-26 Lke 22:14-20).
We believe as Jesus himself promised that he is going to prepare a place and shall come to take us to the Father's heavenly home where there shall be a great banquet. He who promised a big banquet talks good wine that shall flow! So Mommy Christie and I avoided beers and very often drank good wine and thus became good wine tasters. The last bottle of wine I brought to Mommy Christie is still lying there when she transited!
TELLING THE TRUTH; perhaps cautious of the fact that the last call could come at anytime, Mommy never ever allowed anything or situation of direct or indirect insinuated worries to bother her and ‘’Small-small back talks’’ were never momi’s ways of dealing with people and issues.
ASSIDUOUS AND ASSERTIVE: Momi was a quiet but a very assertive woman who dispite her failing health situation remained very assiduous in her teaching profession; checking every bit of the school management and especially the staff and the resulting ant come was the high performance of her school in many examinations scoring 100% .
5- AN ENDEARING WIFE AND MOTHER! She always analysed situations and apportioned the responsibilities. Where she felt she could do a thing she did and so.
There will surely be a vaccum of missing Momi Christine.
A Dieu My Momi and revenante May our Good God grant you Eternal Rest.
NJINYAM STEVEN
A BOBANG FAMILY FRIEND.

My first encounter with Aunty Christy was in Mamfe Cameroon. She was one of the few people who paid me for my talents. How empowering! From braiding her young daughters Annette and Marie's hair, to knitting ponchos for them. I particularly liked her puff puff recipe and still use it today. Due to distance and geography, I had not seen you in decades. It hurts to know that you have left us Auntie but know that you have a special place in my heart and your signature smile is all I remember when I think of you. Heaven was missing an Angel. March triumphantly and claim your spot. Till we meet again, adieu Tantine.

TRIBUTE TO MY DEAR FRIEND, CHRISTY

"Friends love through all
Kinds of weather, and
Families stick together in
All kinds of trouble".
-Proverbs 17:17

My friendship with Christy Ewube Ayukegba began in Mamfe in the late 1970s. Our daughters Annette and Shiri met at Government School and they both declared that they each other's best friend. That declaration was definitely true because they have been "sisters" since that moment. Yes the daughters introduced the mothers and we became co-Mother's and our families have been close since then.

From that fateful moment in Mamfe, our families have shared and cherished numerous moments, some sad and some happy. Some of our happiest moments were when we played games like rook, scrabble, monopoly and of course tennis together.

It's the sad moments like this  And we've gone through many, that we can't find words to express how we truly feel. Yes I will miss my friend and co-mother, but I can truly say that I cherish every moment that we spent together.

Rest In Heavenly Peace. Say hello to Akotoh for me.

Love always,
Trena

I have never met a woman with very high levels of energy like my aunt. She knew how to make anybody comfortable by her. A great storyteller. Despite her age, she still displayed huge enthusiasm for life. Her passing has left a huge vaccum in the family. May her soul rest in peace!

We will always remember you as a mother for all.

May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

I can't believe I have to write a tribute to you. Mami, your shoulders were always broad enough to support me. Your listening ears and attention were always my source of consolation.

Prof. Egbewatt came to my house on Saturday, September 28, to inform me you were sick and I promised myself to see you unfailingly on Monday, September 30th, not knowing that God had already prepared that beautiful place for you...

Mami I'm recovering from the shock of your departure and coming to terms with the fact that my Mummy, my Ally and support system is gone.

Thank you for the values you taught me. Thanks for being that pillar of strength I could lean on any time. Thanks for teaching us to stand for the truth and nothing but the truth and to speak it loud and clear whenever and wherever.

Greet your brother Martin for me.
Enjoy heaven, till we meet to part no more.

Aunty Christy! You shall be missed dearly. As you rest, I forever remain grateful for all your unforgettable footprints. You were a mother and grandmother to me, full of love all the time, a big broad smile that never faded away, arms wide open. I still remember how I would tap into your wise mind during our Sunday morning rides to church. You would call me “bébé” and introduce me to some as your daughter and others as grand-daughter and I proudly accepted all titles! Ah mami, you have left a vacuum and you shall be missed dearly. Heaven has gained an angel, rest well my darling mami.

Our beloved aunty, the wife of my most wonderful uncle Peter, my grandfather Enow's favourite nephew. Yes Enow your son was named after my grandfather my hero as a sign of your love for an uncle and father.
It is with a profound sadness that I write this farewell note on behalf of the Enowtanya family. May your journey back to your heavenly home be gentle and peaceful.

You have been my pride and joy for a long time. Admiring you as my OPSA sister from the moment I saw your wedding photo in the QRC (Holy Rosary Sisters) archive whilst I was volunteering at the convent as an undergraduate trainee and to your side was my handsome elegant uncle. My heart goes out to your family who have to learn to continue this lonely, exile journey without you. We shall miss you but continue to love you forever in our hearts. Until we meet someday, rest eternal grant unto her you O Lord.

Thank you Mom for your love. If i could give my children only half of what you have given me, then i would have been successful. Large shoes to fill. Heavy burden to carry. May you Rest in the lord.

Aunty Christy, my beloved aunty
I cannot say and I will not say
That you are dead, you are just away.
With a cheery smile and a wave of hand
You have wandered into an unknown land;
And left us dreaming how very fair
Its needs must be, since you linger there.
And you-oh you, who the wildest yearn
From the old-time step and the glad return-
Think of you faring on, as dear
In the love of there, as the love of here
Think of you still the same way, I say;
You are not dead, you are just away.
Sleep well aunty Christy,
Forever your auntie, Nchenge
