Christina Maria Testoni-Palmer
Mullica Hill – Christina Maria Testoni-Palmer died peacefully Wednesday February 24th 2016, just after 1:10 pm at her home in Mullica Hill, NJ. She had a long time battle with lung cancer. Her strong will kept her mentally sharp despite her gradually deteriorating body. She left to be with her Lord.
She was born on May 14, 1974 in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of Mildred “Millie” Testoni and Alfred Testoni of Aston PA. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred.
Christina was a Financial Analyst working for Bank of America for over 16 years. She was a “Blue Hen” and received her undergraduate and Master of Business Administration from University of Delaware. She was a highly respected member of her team performing monthly reporting and utilizing SAS database skills.
Christina is survived by her husband James “Jim” Palmer III, her mother Millie (long time companion Ed Ashton), her sister Deborah (Michael) Ciociola along with their son Dominick, her sister Cindy (Robert) Venturena and their daughters Daniella (Giovanni and child Luchianno) and Andrea, her sister Linda Gray and her children Gina (children Lacey and Paige), Robyn (child Cecilia), and Mark (fiancé Jenn), and her brother William Gray (Heather) and his son William (Jamie) and daughter Samantha (Arnold). She is also survived by her aunt Janice Dawson and uncle Harry (Linda) Dawson, aunt Kathryn (Harold) Haigh, in-laws James “Jim” Jr. (Barbara) Palmer and brother in-law Brian (Rebecca) Palmer and their children Elise and Nathan. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mildred Dawson, long time cat companion “Charlie” of 18 years, and survived by her buddy, “Lovey” the Dove. She will be missed by long time friends Kristie, Denise, and Tracy to name a few.
Christina was a power and sail boating enthusiast and spent many a weekend on the waters and tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. She was a member of the Chesapeake Bay Alberg 30 Sailing Association and took place in their cruising activities. She enjoyed traveling and exploring caves, circumnavigating the Grand Canyon, Florida Keys and Dry Tortugas, BVI - St. Thomas, Bermuda, and islands of the Caribbean and West Indies, and Canada.
At home Christina enjoyed gardening, painting, and her regular outdoor bird “customers”. She watched birds of prey in her own back yard (hawks), and regularly traveled to the Blue Ridge Mountains among others to see hawks, raptors, kestrels, and bald eagles.
Christina’s mother was able to give her the gift of a Catholic School education. Later in life she joined Richwood Methodist Church with her husband, where he went to Church as a child. She was supported by the ladies and gentlemen there through her battle with cancer.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April the 9th by the Richwood Methodist Church in the Sanctuary at 104 Richwood Rd., Richwood, NJ 09074, along with a luncheon one light down the street at the Richwood Academy, "The Red Schoolhouse", at the corner of 836 Lambs Rd. & Mullica Hill Rd., In Richwood, NJ 08074 (Lambs Road is Otherwise Known as Pitman-Richwood Rd.). It has been moved from the United Methodist Church Hall across the street from the Sanctuary due to building maintenance issues.
