Obituary:

Christine Bonilla, a long time resident of the Freehold / Howell, NJ area, died Monday, the 7th of June in Oklahoma, where she had been residing along side her two older daughters and her seven granddaughters for the year prior. Born December 14th, 1966 in Lakewood, NJ. Christine was the daughter to Ernesta and Justino Bonilla. She was the second youngest of eight siblings, in order from oldest to youngest; Lucy, Wilfredo (Freddy), Carlos, Nelly, Robert (Bobby), Arlene, Christine and Milargros (Millie). Most of Christine's childhood into her early twenties was spent living between Puerto Rico and New Jersey. Christine was the beloved Mother to Christal Giglio (Roman), Vanessa Thomas (Edwards), Jake Motisi, Kristen Cruz, Thomas Mastandrea and Michael Cruz II. Beloved Mother-In-Law to Anthony Giglio and Zach Thomas. Lastly, Christine was the most incredible Mamita to seven granddaughters (in order from oldest to youngest); Isabelle Thomas, Jayden Giglio, Dakota Thomas, Layla Giglio, Savana Thomas, Riley Giglio and Mia Thomas.

Christine loved dancing, good food, crafting and socializing, enjoyed going to the movies, baking and ice-cream, had a wonderful smile that could light up the room and a laugh that could get anyone laughing. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, brother Freddy, sister's Nelly Rosario, Arlene Bonilla, Millie Porcena, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom brought great joy, laughter and love to her life.

Arrangements:

Christine's remains will be spread at Bernegat Bay. Just as her late mother, Ernesta, her sister Lucy and her brother Bobby Bonilla were. This part of the event will be kept very intimate and will be kept between Christine's children and siblings only. We would love for everyone to participate in the floating lanterns tribute.

Acknowledgements:

Perhaps you sent a lovely card,
or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers,
we saw sitting there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words,
as any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all,
just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts,
we thank you so much.

I have been trying to write something since yesterday. But everytime I tried I just began to cry because I still cannot believe that my beautiful sister/titi has gone home to Heaven. We were Aunt and Niece, but in our hearts and lives we were sisters. Going to OK was the most precious time that we shared together. Our late nights  talking, praying until 2am while everyone was sleeping, those moments will forever be precious to me. Christina's greatest love was her 4 children and her 7 granddaughters. She would tell me how very much she loved them. She was blessed because she was Super Loved by everyone that met her. My beautiful baby sister you will forever be in my heart and on my mind. I love you to the Moon ♥ and back forever and a day!

I only met you a few times when I was visiting from the UK but on those few occasions you made a huge impression on me and I knew fro the first time I met you that you were a kind soul good inside and out. You will be greatly missed by all that knew you but you can now party with the other good souls that were taken too soon.
