Ms. Christine Gayles Hutcherson was born on December 22, 1931 to the late Mr. Cassell Arlington Gayles and Mrs. Carrie Lee Gayles in Birmingham, Alabama.

Ms. Christine received Christ at an early age and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church of Woodlawn, Birmingham, Al.

Ms. Christine was educated in the Birmingham, Alabama public school system and was a graduate of A. H. Parker High School.  When moving to Chicago, Illinois she was employed at Ramada Inn.  She enjoyed playing the card game “Spades” and Word Search puzzles.

Ms. Christine departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 5:46 PM.  She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Earnestine Gayles, sisters; Susie Torrence, Marybelle Helm, Evelyn Coleman, Juanita Gayles, Vivian Griffin and brothers, Arlington Gayles and William H. Gayles.

Ms. Christine leaves to cherish precious memories: nieces, Judy Burton of Birmingham, AL, Irma Jackson of Canton, Ohio, and Delores Reese of Lynwood, California; nephews, Rodney Griffin of Birmingham, AL and Warren Gayles of Chicago, Ill; goddaughter, Donna Smiley of Birmingham, AL, godson, Phillip Jackson of Birmingham, AL; friend, Henry Huntsman of Houston, Texas; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
