Chris was born 9-28-54 to Mr.& Mrs. Devere Tacey in Bay City, MI at Bay Medical.  She lived in Essexville, MI till grade 1 and then moved to Grand Rapids, MI when her parents divorced to live with her mom and her mom's parents and her brother David.  She lived and grew up in Grand Rapids, MI till she was 20 years old.  Her mother Patricia remarried in 1967 to  Her stepfather Jerry Jaglowski.  They had a child named Tony, and Jerry had 2 kids from his previous marrage Deborah and Craig Jaglowski.  So there was 5 kids in the family and Mom & Step Dad Jerry.  Step Dad was transferred to Lansing, MI in 1974, and Chris soon followed her parents to Lansing, MI so she could pay for college while living at home. She left Sentry Insurance company in Grand Rapids, MI in August 1974 and moved to Lansing, MI to attend Lansing Community College.  She graduated from LCC in 1976.  She worked at Roselawn nursing home for several years and for Valley Building Centers.  When left Valley Building Centers, she went for an interview with Visiting Nurse Services in September 1979.  She was hired October 22, 1979.  Chris worked at VNS till 2001 when she was injured on the job and had to retire.  Chris could not sit still, she decided to try doing Federal Taxes for people and was hired at H R Block and Chris worked there till 2011.  In the meantime Chris began her quest for a Bachelors Degree in Social Work/Community Services at Siena University, a Catholic private college.  Chris was to graduate May 2013.  She was going on to a Graduate Program at Southern Cal to get her masters in Social work.  She had dreams of being able to save the world or at least try.  She loved the older folks and hoped to work with them in helping them find the necessary services they needed.  Chris died suddenly from an infection caused from her Immunodeficiency.  She will be missed by her solemate Cecil Ouderkirk together for 23years and her dog Rockey and very special friend Denise Birmingham.  Chris is servived by Cecil, Rocky, Denise and brothers David Tacey(Candy), Tonly Jaglowski(Sherri), Craig Jaglowski(Nancy), and sister Deborah Kowalski(Dave).  She was predecesed by her Mother Patricia Jaglowski 2010, her Father Devere Tacey 2008, her step father Jerry Jaglowski, her grandparents Chet & Ila Sherry2003/1972 and Henry & Annie Tacey1976/1985, and her Uncle Herb & Mac2008 and her Uncle Mike Sherry 2009 & her other puppy Rocky2010.  She also is servived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held at St. Casmir Church with Father Bill Luger on Friday 1-6-12. Barial in Grand Rapids, MI.at a later date.  There will be a rosary on Thursday 1-5-12 at Gorsline and Runcimen funeral home Downtown at 7pm. Funeral Services on Friday 1-6-12 Father Bill Luger at St. Casmir's church.  There will be visitation on Thursday 1-5-12 from 2-4 and 6-8, funeral at 10am on Friday 1-6-12.  Friends and family can view 1hr before services at the church.  There will be a luncheon at St. Casmir's Church immediately following the service.  All are invited. Chris wants everyone to celebrate in her life end journey and wishes everyone to remember her as a very caring person and always goes out of her way to help anyone in need.
