In Loving Memory of Christina "Christine" Renee Brown. This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Christine Brown. She lived 48 years in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties of California and entered eternal life on June 3, 2015.
She was very artistic and loved to paint pictures and decorate her home. She also loved all animals, especially her many cats. She had a natural artistic ability and left many beautiful paintings, some of them painted over her earlier attempts at artistic perfection on a canvas without a single bit of training.
Christine was unique, stood for what she believed in, and had a mind of her own. She was also caring and loving especially to homeless people because she had been homeless herself. However, she said those were the best years of her life when she lived in Hollywood and at one point worked in a gun shop. During her life in Hollywood, she chose to live homeless on the sidewalks and that is where she met Tim Gould, the love of her life. He would spoon her body to keep her warm and protect her from the elements on the sidewalk. When her illness became critical, Christine finally accepted her family's assistance to get her closer to home and her own safe and independent life. Tim was the one person that she was most concerned about leaving when it was her time to enter eternal life. She is finally at peace and will remain in our hearts forever.
Poem written by Christine's grandmother: Grandma V. Brown
As we say farewell To our wonderful gal We remember our beloved Daughter, sister, and pal
A talent for painting Of flowers and trees With only herself To finish and please
Christine loved her cat #6 is my guess Tim took over To clean up their mess
In order to live She fought like a tiger She finally lost But oh what a fighter
St. Peter has opened the gate Waiting for Christine to pass Christine cried out, "Wait, Till I kiss my cats
One of Christine's favorite quotes is by Oscar Wilde that she saved in protective plastic: "I sometimes think that god, in creating man, somewhat overestimated his ability."
