Chris was born on August 1, 1926 in Scranton, PA, the much-loved daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Montsavich) Stankevich, Sr. She married Kenneth Thomas, Sr. in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 1, 1944 and they spent many happy years after WWII raising their family together in Newark, NJ before transferring to Jamestown, NY after their children were grown. Chris took great pride in being an excellent homemaker and cook. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo.

Besides ehr parents, Chris was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Stankevich Dely, her brother, Frank Stankevich, Jr., and her husband of over 60 years, Kenneth Thomas, Sr.

Chris is survived by her three much-loved children: Kenneth (Suejayne) Thomas Jr. of Bedford, VA, Carol (James) Thomas Bowers of Supply, NC, and Dennis (Tanya) Thomas Sr. of Sinclairville, NY. Chris also had seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
