This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Christopher Carmichael . We will remember him forever.

Chris Carmichael passed away at the age of 65 at home surrounded by his family and loved ones after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer on January 1st, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Connie, his two sons, Shane & Cameron, his daughter, Brittany, and his stepson, Devon. Chris was born on September 19th, 1953, in California to his parents Betty & Al Carmichael. 

Chris Carmichael was described as a waterman, inventor, visionary, and a serial entrepreneur. His deep passion for adventure and invention created a beautiful life with an even more beautiful family. Most importantly, Chris was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a grandfather, and a friend. During Chris’s adolescence he was a two-time U.S. Surfing Champion. Early in his career, Chris wrote, produced, and directed the world’s first skateboard film with Universal Pictures titled “Spinnin’ Wheels”. He also pursued another passion and soon emerged as a premier apparel designer. Chris was featured on the cover of Men’s Apparel Guild later to be named one of the Top Ten Designers of Men’s apparel by Sports Style Magazine. 

Throughout Chris’s life he became very well versed in film, television and streaming media, working on shows such as; 20/20, NBC Sports Anthology, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, ESPN, NFL Films, NFL Network, ABC and has produced over 600 music videos/documentaries for icons such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Crow’s, David Lee Roth, Melissa Etheridge, Rolling Stones, Skrillex and U2:3D. Chris has produced multiple TV commercials for brands such as; Miller Lite, Ray Ban, Harley Davidson, and more. This led to his first Clio Award in 1978 for his work with RC Cola. Chris produced, directed and hosted California Lifestyles and Yachting Lifestyles with his wife, Connie, for 3-seasons on the ABC Network. 

Chris produced and published the critically acclaimed tabletop autobiographical book on Green Bay Hall of Fame inductee and father, Al “Hoagy” Carmichael, titled, 106 Yards. He has co-authored over sixty patents with his wife Connie in fields as broad and varied as navigation, e-commerce, live streaming, object and logo detection, immersive advertising, e-banking, mobile wallet, mobile gifting, mobile coupons, transmedia, interactive publishing, editing, AR/VR/MR, holographic and 3D technologies, data mining, compression, lifestyle as well as technologies in the fields of medicine and music. Chris received an honorary Doctorate degree of Humane Letter (LHD) from the New York College of Health Professionals. 

Each of Chris’s children walk through life with a piece of his legacy to share with the world. His eldest son Shane continues to pursue feats in the film and music industry, his youngest son Cameron follows in his fathers’ footsteps of adventure as a waterman, and his daughter Brittany carries on Chris’s legacy through her unequivocal love, and his step son Devon shares his passion for digital media and marketing. 

Chris Carmichael was one of the most generous people in the world with his money and his time giving much to both his friends in need and strangers alike. He left a legacy of love and compassion that he passed on to his family and friends and he will be forever missed. Gone but never forgotten.
