His Life

Later in Chris' Life

November 24, 2014

Chris also took Kung Fu and became good at it.  He participated in two tournaments, one in Billings, Montana, and the other in Missoula, Montana.  He was so proud of his second place trophy he got in Billings.  He also played the bass guitar and was very talented.  He thanked me for getting him into music in elementary school.  He really enjoyed playing his guitar and would play for hours.  He even got a band together, and they practiced a lot.

I lost contact with Chris for 20 years but got back in touch with him in 2011.  He had moved to Nashua, New Hampshire.  We had a great year getting reacquainted via emails, Facebook, and phone calls.  The last time I talked to him was on June 14, 2012.  Little did I know he would be gone in less than a month.

Chris had a wonderful sense of humor and had a nice laugh.  He is greatly missed.  As his mother, I love him and will keep his memory forever in my heart.  I love you, Chris!

The first years of Chris' life

October 29, 2014

Chris was born on November 28, 1972, in Billings, Montana.  We lived in a one-bedroom basement apartment.  We then moved to a house with two bedrooms.  After a month of living there, we moved to a two-bedroom house with a basement apartment that my parents had bought.  Three days before his second birthday, his brother Matt was born.  They shared a bedroom and became best friends.  When Chris was 4 years old, his youngest brother Vance was born.  All three shared a bedroom and spent a lot of time visiting in their room.

When Chris was in sixth grade at Broadwater Elementary School, he represented his school in the city spelling bee.  He was nervous and studied for it.  Even though he did not place, he did his best.  His dad and I were very proud of him.
