A little about him ...

Sir Chukwudi Onuba aka Kweshi (68 years), passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria after a brief period of illness. He was born on August 25, 1948 in Akamili, Umudim, Nnewi to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Onuba. 

 He attended Anglican Grammar School Oraukwu (1970 set);  and studied Chemistry at University of Nsukka Nigeria and graduated in 1976. His career spanned over two decades as a Chemistry teacher at King’s College Lagos, before eventually moving into further civil service within the Ministry of Science and Technology (NBRRI) in Abuja. 

 He was a committed Christian and a dedicated member of the Anglican Church. In Abuja, he attended All Saints Anglican Church, Wuse where he was a member of the Torch Bearers Society and a Bible Study teacher. The Nnewi Anglican diocese bestowed on him the Knighthood of St. Christopher. He was also a very active member of his community and facilitated a number of Nnewi diaspora associations. He enjoyed reading, playing scrabble, squash, football and was an avid Arsenal fan. 

 He loved and was very dedicated to his family and friends. Kweshi is survived by his wife Lady Ebele Onuba; his children: Nnenna, Chinelo, Ogonna, Ugonna and Ezinne; his son-in-laws Ese and Ugochukwu; his grandchildren Enoo, Ruke, Ovo, Chimaihe, Chimsom, Kelenna and Adaugo; and his siblings Ifeoma, Nonso, Amaka and Ntochukwu as well as his loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.

His nature was loving and giving,
His heart was made of pure gold,
And to us who truly love him,
His memory will never grow old.
