Cecilia Grace (“CiCi”) Morgan, 54, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on February 16, 2021, on the birthday of her older sister Michelle Walker. CiCi was predeceased by Michelle, 64, and by her brother Michael Buppert, 60, both of whom died last July. After a long illness, CiCi died embraced in the arms of her mother and surrounded by the angels at the Cate’s House hospice.

CiCi was born in Leesburg, Florida on May 17, 1966, to Melvin Cecil Morgan (deceased) and Margaret Mills (“Pat”) Buppert. She attended Montessori schools in her native Leesburg, and in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and Alexandria, Virginia; she graduated from Jefferson High School in Tampa, attended the University of Florida and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority.

CiCi loved sports: She played little league baseball, tag football, ran cross country, and excelled at golf. She was her high school’s team mascot and enjoyed donning its dragon costume and performing crazy antics in front of the crowds. Out of costume, she loved the Atlanta Braves, the Washington Redskins and, of course, the Florida Gators.

CiCi loved music and enjoyed playing her guitar with friends. CiCi also loved to travel, and thought New Zealand was one of God’s most beautiful creations.

CiCi’s professional career was in the financial world. She held licenses as a stock broker and as a broker for life insurance, annuities and health insurance. In remembering her, friends and co-workers described CiCi as beautiful, kind, big hearted, intelligent, and a goof ball whose infectious smile brought joy to every gathering. CiCi had a unique ability to make those around her feel special, and it would be difficult to find anyone who had an unkind word to say about her. It’s no wonder that some of her closest friends had been friends since childhood.

CiCi had a passion for animals and she had many. They were her “kids,” and any phone call with CiCi always included long conversations about them. CiCi is survived by her cherished dachshund, Dr. Zaius.

CiCi is also survived by her beloved parents, Irv and Pat Buppert, who she thought hung the moon; and her older brothers Scott Morgan, and his wife Janell, and Jeff Buppert, and his husband Ernie Ahumada. In addition to aunts, uncles and cousins, CiCi is survived by nieces and nephews stretching from Florida to Hawaii whom she simply adored.

CiCi was predeceased by her grandparents Larry and Peggy Mills of Auburndale, FL, and Melvin and Mary Morgan of Woodbury, GA.

CiCi was a loving, sensitive and caring soul, which was exemplified in her final act of kindness: Upon her death, CiCi donated her corneas and tissue so that others might live richer, fuller lives. Just one tissue donor can enhance the lives of more than 75 others.

And to be able to see the world through CiCi’s eyes…well, that would be a gift for anyone.

Donations in CiCi’s memory can be made to The E.W. & Lucille Cates House, 9505 SW 110th St., Ocala, FL 34481 or to Interfaith Emergency Services, P.O. Box 992, Ocala, FL 34478.

I met CiCi on Irv's 80th birthday. She was a knock out! vivacious and so full of life. The next time I saw CiCi 10 yrs later again at Irv's 90th was a complete different CiCi than the one I first met. Cici was on a wheel chair and very reserved. Bur I'll never forget that warm beautiful smile she gave me when she remembered who I was. I will always remember CiCi

Thank you for inviting me to the Beautiful memorial. I had several laughs and you made me tear up a couple times with memories that CiCi always talked about such as the Virgin Islands. Remembering the good times today and always.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about CiCi and how we laughed at each other's silly ways of describing our days. I miss her greatly! We spent hours on the phone just laughing at each other. She was an awesome friend and will be in my heart forever. I will miss her beautiful smile.

I remember CiCi very fondly. She always had a story about her dogs (kids), that she loved so much. She was very funny and could make people laugh. She also had a large heart and always had a positive thought for others who were struggling.

As cousins, we had the best times together during our summer visits before we were teenagers and became involved in our high school activities that kept us busy. Visits together out at MiMi and Papa's house in the cove, riding their ponies, Candy and Lollipop, jeep rides or buggy rides with PaPa. Or when MiMi and PaPa moved back to Florida, the 3 of us, CiCi, Cher, and myself staying with them and swimming, going to Circus World, Sea World and one year going to Disney World in matching outfits that I believe MiMi had made for us. As we got older and busier, seeing each other and catching up on what is going on in our lives at family reunions held at MiMi and Papa's cabin on the river having a fish fry and going on a boat ride up the Suwanee River. Those are good memories.

Today I'm reminded that my few but precious memories of CiCi were all of celebrations and happier times.
What could be a better legacy than CiCi's love of family, friends, animals and music?
She was a beautiful soul.

The first time I met Cici was at Irv's birthday party in Tampa.  Cici was vivacious, very attractive and made everyone feel at ease. I admired her fit figure and well dressed. The second time I saw Cici 10 yrs later was at Irv's & Patie's dual birthday party. To my surprise Cici was in a wheel chair . Her beautiful smile in spite of her ailment was very heart warming. I never saw her again. That smile still remains....I will never forget

Oh what a beautiful smile. I think that is one thing I will miss the most. Cici would lighten up a room just by entering it. She would make it nearly impossible to be in a foul mood when she was around. Occasionally when Cici would call me just to talk about her life, family, friends and of course her animals. I knew I was in for a lengthy conversation. Knowing she needed to talk with someone about these somewhat serious issues that the universe has sent her way. You know the ones about her dogs and cats. About the way she had to separate them when they did not get along with each other. How they would get jealous of each other and about the over abundance of gifts they would bring to her from outdoors. I learned to adapt. I became a very good listener. I taught myself to multitask. I once even cooked a whole meal, ate it and even cleaned up afterwards while on her phone call.
All kidding aside I will in a strange kind of way really miss those conversations with Cici. I am glad that I was there for her.
Oh here is something I bet most are not aware of. I adopted a cat about ten years ago. When I got her, her name was Cici. I in turn decided to give her a middle name Grace after my mother. Of course Cici just knew that I named my cat after her. How could I tell her any different? So every time I look at my precious Cici of course I think of my other precious Cici Grace.

My beautiful little sister.... you are so loved and so missed!
Scott and I talk about you every day... we laugh as we look through some of the silly photos and when we hear a song on the radio that reminds us of you, we sing and think about the day that we will be able to see you again.❤️
Remember, I promised you that I would always love and take care of your big brother, and the day you left us to go home to Heaven, he made me his bride. We celebrated you, Michelle and our love and will honor you both in some special way every year.
Love.... Janelle

Her Life
March 19, 2021
CiCi was born in Leesburg, Florida on May 17, 1966, to Melvin Cecil Morgan (deceased) and Margaret Mills (“Pat”) Buppert.

CiCi attended Montessori school in Leesburg, as well as in the U.S. Virgin Islands and in Virginia. CiCi graduated from Jefferson High School in Tampa, home of the Dragons, and was her high school’s team mascot. CiCi attended the University of Florida and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority.

CiCi loved playing and watching sports. She also loved music - especially the music of KISS, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, and The B-52s - and enjoyed playing her guitar with friends. In addition to music, CiCi loved to shoot pool and managed to remain humble despite her amazing prowess.

Although CiCi had a fear of flying, she loved to travel. She had been to many places across the US, Europe and beyond, but always thought New Zealand was the most beautiful place of all.

Professionally, CiCi’s career was in the financial world. She held licenses as a stock broker and as a broker for life insurance, annuities and health insurance.

Some of CiCi's closest friends had been her friends since childhood. But without a doubt, the two people CiCi loved the most were her parents, Irv & Pat Buppert.  They were her role models in life, and CiCi thought they hung the moon.

Build Me Up Buttercup by the Foundations

That's the song CiCi loved to sing and dance too.  My wife, Jean and I had many good times and outings with her.  I so miss her calling and talking on the phone for hours.
She lived just a couple of houses from our house in Dunedin.  So many times, she would bring down the little guys and play with our dog, Layla.  The times we traveled to different live music venues.  We always asked for Buttercup and song along and danced.  I even had the song on a cd, playing as loud and singing along.
It has been over a year and half, since we traveled up to Ocala, to see her.  We went out and had a meal and just talked.  She talk about how life was going and all the good times we had.  We always left with a kiss and hug from.
The laughing was always apart of the personality of hers and ours.  What a wonderful person she was.  We think of her every time we hear her song “Buttercup”.  Also we just remember all the good times we had and enjoyed.  A Day late but Happy Birthday CiCi.
Bye and LOVE, Gary and Jean Galbraith
