Mrs. Adams was born Tuesday, August 29, 1963, in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Rada Phipps and Eugene D. Corey, Jr. She was a very loving person who always stayed active. She really enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, surrounded by nature and birds, especially humming birds. Alabama football was something that Cindy helped celebrate every football season. Cindy was an avid reader, always having a book ready to open. She enjoyed motor cycle riding with her husband and friends. Her grandchildren lit up her day, seeing them grow and play. Watching her children mature made her proud beyond words. Cindy was Baptist and a 1980 graduate of Lanett High School.

Survivors include her husband, Norman L. Adams, Jr. of Lanett; her daughter, Shelby Adams of Lanett; her sons, Derek Vial of Detroit, Michigan, Corey Vial of Warner Robins, Georgia and Matthew Adams of San Diego, California; her sisters, Patricia (Richard) Ballard of Hazel Park, Michigan, Janet (Michael) Arrington of Valley, Alabama, Gena (Brian) Perry of Easley, South Carolina; her brothers, Jerry Ogburn and Michael Ogburn both of Valley, Alabama, Eugene Skip Corey of New York , New York and Peter (Jodi) Corey of Kusel, Germany; her grandchildren, Aiden Vial, Helena Vial and Luke James. She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Corey Harper.
