A sun filled day to celebrate a beautiful life.

Mother Cindy I will miss you. I’ll miss your humour, that look that says don’t try it , your words of encouragement and your testimonies reminding me of the goodness of God.

I take comfort however, knowing that you are in a better place in safe hands.

Rest well with the 2 loves of your life (Mr R Francis and your Lord and saviour Jesus Christ) until the trumpet of God sounds

To the sons (the apple of your mothers eye), be strong in the Lord knowing that prayers are always going out for you and the entire family .

To the family and friends of the late sister Cindy Francis, I have known sister Cindy for over 20 years. She was a quite going sister of mine in the Lord, I cannot recall seeing her talking to anyone for long period of time. Sometimes when church services is finished, she would respectfully and calmly come over to me and talk with me briefly about her illness and late husband.
She would hardly stop long in church when services was over. she was respectfull and considerate. She would Sometimes remind me. "IS BISHOP BROWN AND YOU BAPTISED ME"! She was a true child of God and sister of mine in the Lord. I want to let you know ,death is not the end of sister Cindy, death is not her termination but a transition into eternity. For the Christians death is a door into eternity rather than been the end of life. It will be her birthday into eternal life.
Measured against eternity our time on earth is a blink of an eye. The Bible offers three metafors that teaches us God's view of life. Life is a test, a trust and a temporary assignment. Sister Cindy finished them all. And God has called her home to rest.
Sleep sister Cindy, sleep and take your rest.

I looked and I stared at this blank page,
Searching my heart for what to say..
Sadly, Aunty you have left us all behind,
But with moments and memories of a very special kind.
All of us, in some way, connected to you,
Because only you could do things so uniquely you.
A woman of style and grace that was second to none.
A spirit filled, God fearing woman who has now gone home.

Rest in eternal peace Aunty C.

Dear Aunty Cindy,

You were an exceptional lady who welcomed me with open arms and love. I remember you having a great sense of humour especially when the boys played pranks on their cousins. You would always rescue them with hugs and kisses. The girls and I loved spending time with you. You supported me and gave me advice when I was at my lowest without judgement. You were an inspiration to me and the girl’s.

RIP love you Aunty Cindy, Mellodie xxx

Tribute from Auntie Peggy
I have known Cindy Francis for 59 yrs. A gentle, loving, kind, caring person with a heart of pure love that epitonises humility and empathy are just a few words that describes Cindy Francis. She has left an indelible set of footprints on the hearts of her family, friends, associates and anyone who knew her.
Cindy Francis legacy will always be remembered in her children, Horace, to whom i am a godmother, Clive and Warren. We are consoled by the fact that so much of her admirable traits have been passed on to her "boys" as she living called them. Cindy loved her children with a passion abd instilled in them the value of life.
Perhaps out of the endless memories, is one that will always shine out; is when she had her first child. She was in her element and told me that she can't wait for others to follow. Cindy was an honorarable well respected woman, and her values were reflected in her commitment to servicing her church, Wood Green New Testament Church of God.
Cindy your death has been a struggle for me. In fact it's a "double whammy" to lose a husband and a friend within 3 months of each other, it's not easy. Not easy!
I quote from a writer the following words: "don't think of her as gone away her journey has just begun. Life holds so many faucets, this earth is just one if them. And think of as living in the hearts of those she touched. For nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much".
End of quote
Cindy Francis has fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith.
I take this opportunity to offer condolences to Horace, Clive and Warren and other members of the extended family.
Cindy my friend, walk good. Rest in sweet eternal peace. Your friend Peggy Shippey.

Her Life
April 2, 2021
Cindy Veronica Francis
Born in St Catherine, Jamaica to Audley Cummings & Rosie Davies, Cindy was one of 4 children; Daniel as well as the late Joel and Agatha being her siblings. Sadly Rosie died when Cindy was only 10 years old and was subsequently brought up by her Grand Aunt Ambrozene McDonald.
Cinderella came to the UK in 1961 when her own Prince Charming Ridley ‘sent for her’ to come and join him after he had ‘got things set up’ and had enough saved for her passage. They married on 7 July 1962 vowing to save enough money together and return to Jamaica. Something they never did as they built a family and a home in Wood Green, which they jointly decided was where they wanted to remain.
Cindy did a variety of jobs ranging from ‘piece work’ in a local factory to what she affectionately described as her favourite and final job as a care assistant in Friern Barnet psychiatric hospital.
Cindy is survived by her brother Daniel, 3 sons Horace, Clive & Warren, 4 grandsons Ethan, Christian, Cameron & Joshua, hundreds of family and friends and thousands of wonderful memories.
As a wife she was loving and caring. A woman that would always back her husband even if it meant “straightening things out” behind closed doors. In fact, her sons cannot remember one occasion where mum and dad argued with each other. She was a Godfearing woman, and would always use the teachings of the bible to guide her through any challenges they faced together.
As a mother she instilled in her sons the difference between right and wrong from an early age. She also taught her sons the value of hard work and aiming to achieve the right things in a humble manner, often quoting “When Eskimo have money him buy fridge”.
As her sons grew, she listened more (and I must add – moaned less about us ☺). Her methods for upbringing became less directive and more consultative thus evolving from being the sometimes feared mum, when we strayed, to that loving friend who we would go to when we needed advice from someone that had decades more life experience than us.
Mind you, even when her sons had grown up and started families of their own she still had the knack of reminding us who was in charge with the famous stare and a sharp comment which just cut straight to the point.
So Mum, you know we will love you forever in the same way you have shown us unconditional love. We will treasure every beautiful memory of our time together. Rest in peace, we know you are safe and happy at the Lords’ side.

Horace, Clive and Warren on behalf of my mum Florrett, Pauline along with the Clarke family we send our heartfelt condolences and prayers for your loss. Your mum always gave time with wise words to everyone and remained strong in her faith along with her love for you all. Our families have been connected as friends for over 50 years starting out as neighbours in the days where friends could support each other and share experiences with many happy memories. The times I spent at your house as a child (temporary proxy big sister to you) was an education, inspiration and created my understanding of true FAMILY UNITY. Your mum and dad taught me so many life lessons through all the decades (my lips are sealed) and my mum is missing their conversations terribly. Continue the Francis family legacy as your mum and dad are together now watching you all with pride. Cindy Francis RIEP
