Sis. Clara Herren was born November 11, 1925 in Dadeville, Alabama to the late Mr. Harold and Bessie Cox. 

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Deacon Joe Curtis Herren, one daughter, five brothers and five sisters. 

Sis. Herren confessed Christ at an early age and united with the New Popular Springs Missionary Baptist Church, and served faithfully until her health failed her.

She was employed with the Community Action Agency (Headstart) for twenty-seven years.

On July 7, 2013, Sis.Herren departed this life in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.

 She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughter, Janice Pearson and Mary Potts of Dadeville, Alabama; two sons, Danny (Debbie) Herren of New Orleans, Louisiana and Steve (Alonia) Herren of Sharpsburg, Georgia.

After the death of her mother, Sis. Herren gracefully raised her three younger brothers, Bobby Cox, General (Virginia) Cox of Dadeville, Alabama and Sanders (Marie) Cox of Camp Hill, Ala­ bama; three sisters, Margaret Lillian (Ted) Williams of Greensboro, North Carolina,Bessie Stone of Kissimmee, Florida and Bobbie Russell of Anahave, Texas; seven grandchildren, Shernita (Phelix), Sharonda (Jonathan), Shori, Chicora, Rel, Sanquitta and Stephanie; six great-grandchildren, Quineterria, Mercedes, Jalentski, Ja'Korian, Cameron and Victoria; a special friend and cousin, Sis. Mary Warren and a host of nieces, nephews , other relatives and friends.
