You are in my thoughts every day and in my heart always. You are the Love of my Life. I miss you terribly. You were such wonderful person - always upbeat, never depressed even though you had cause to be. You made me a better person by knowing you.
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Clareen Bassani. We will remember her forever.

Leave a Tribute
This is our real one - number 8. I think it's neat how Fred suggested the 29th and we just looked at each other and said "Yep, that's it". We used to go to Red Lobster for our anniversary until the shrimp started giving us a tummy-ache. I'll have to find something special at Shop-Rite to celebrate.
I will always love you, Sweetie. Joe, Laverne, Smudge and Steffi.
Love you always, Joe, Laverne, Smudge and Steffi.
You're probably having a big bash in Heaven to celebrate. Make sure to give my love to all the kitties. I love you lotsa and miss you terribly.
Love Always, Me, Laverne, Smudge and Steffi.
1988 - DC, VA
In October 1988, we went to Washington, DC on a long weekend to see the AIDS Quilt. It was quilts laid out on the lawn of one of the parks in town co-memorating people who had died from AIDS. Lots of people were there and lots of quilts. From there we went to Williamsburg, VA - a recreation of buildings from the 1770's. On the way home, we took the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel onto the Delmarva penninsula. It was late but we decided to catch the Cape May-Lewes ferry. We got there just in time to get the last ferry of the day. After the three hour crossing, we took the Garden State Parkway home - another three hours. I think we got home something like 2 in the morning with work the next day.
Another Date
One time before we were engaged, we went to the Museum of Natural History. It's a big place and we walked all over. Clareen had more energy than I did - I had to lie down on the benches. On the way home, Clareen asked "What did you like best today?" I said, "The dinosaurs". She goes, "Huh. I thought you'd say "being with me"". I always did after that.
First Date
We started dating in 1988. Our first date was to Space Farms in Sussex, NJ. I never heard of the place. We got on the highway and drove forever it seemed until finally we got there. It's a zoo. We roamed around and saw the animals. We had lunch there, too. On the way back, we played miniature golf at a place in Garfield that's no longer there.
