The son of Clarence, Sr. and Arcola Hollis Slaughter, "Chunk", as he was affectionately known, was born in Buena Vista, GA and was a 1969 graduate of Cusseta Industrial High School. He obtained further studies at Columbus Technical College. He was a member of United Temple Missionary Baptist Church where he served wutg the Deacons and Ushers Ministries. He was a Certified Master Brick Mason. Other than his parents, he preceded in death by two siblings, R.C. and Johnny Slaughter.

Survivors include: his wife of 33 years, Mrs. Joyce House Slaughter; three sons, Marcus Johnson (Theresa), Dr. Christopher Slaughter and Roland House; two daughters, Chandrea Pugh (Donnell) and Keyoka Ross (Byron); six grandchildren, Olivia, Damion, Brandon, Kayah, Jakenzie and Jireh; two great grandchildren, Paris and Kynslee; a sister, Gloria Slaughter Ramsey; four brothers, Luther Slaughter (Lora), David Slaughter, Nathaniel Slaughter and Jesse Slaughter; in-laws, Beverly Leonard, Sheyneta House, Lutisher House and Ambush House; godchildren, Tyrone Feldon, Lawrencia Jackson and Keyeta House; loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
