Clarence William Riley, 88, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Granville Medical Center.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Johnnie Veston Riley and Leslie Johnson Riley. Clarence was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Concord Baptist Church. He retired from John Umstead Hospital and also worked at R.J. Blackley ADATC in Butner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford by Rev. Jim Smith and Rev. Robert Oliver. Burial will be in Tally Ho Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are his sister, Linda R. Morris (James) of Oxford; a niece, Tuesday Oliver of Oxford; a nephew, Timothy Riley of Stovall; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Cox Riley; two sons, Ronald Riley and Michael Riley; three sisters, Bertha West, Dorothy Suitt, Ruby Riley and three brothers, Raymond, Roy and Ray Riley.

Visitation will be held Friday evening January 25, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times the home of John and Tuesday Oliver.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, East Lyon Station Rd., Creedmoor, NC 27522.
