Claudette, I still cannot believe that you are gone! You shaped my practice as a social worker and honed my professionalism to an exacting standard. You are all about providing the best service to children, families and foster carers. You will be fondly remembered by your motto -"Not on my watch".
I appreciate you as my manager, friend and a mentor. My deepest condolences to your mother, husband, children and the extended family. May your compassionate soul rest in perfect peace amen.

Claudette, I was fortunate to meet you a handful of times through Leroy and you were always kind and welcoming.
I have been around your family many times and they are a tribute to the morals, kindness and values you have instilled into them. I know that they will carry these forward in your memory and honour.
May you rest in eternal peace.

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. You always have been a huge part of my life, and without you now, I feel a deep hole has been left in both me and our family. You were the glue that held us together, and your memory will continue to do so.

I love you nan,

I never got to share many experiences with Pat. Now I'm learning so much about her character, humor and her compassion toward others, from those she loved, those she impacted and those that carry her legacy...but oh, there is still eternity

It is clear to me we had a lot in common, we had our first child young, we were both Social Workers, we LOVE holidays, we value family and family values.... Cuz. If I'm half the woman you were I will be honoured.

You are an inspiration for all. Your legacy lives on in your children, who are a credit to you.

Rest in heavenly peace my beautiful cousin.

Claudette - your wisdom, your wicked and naughty sense of humour, the laughter you generated all around you, it's so hard to let you go. But what a life you lead! Such achievements! Such accomplishments! So many people you nurtured and supported! The interest you took in people's lives, the way you made us feel special and our work meaningful. I will treasure your memory and take inspiration from your life. I know you live on in spirit, in freedom and joy.

To an amazing person who was well-respected and who I was fortunate to be able to work with in the Fostering Service. Your words of wisdom and encouragement was always appreciated and your no-nonsense attitude admired. These and many other qualities made you stand-out from the crowd. You are one of a kind. May you rest in everlasting peace.

When we were alive , they told us that when we died we'd go to heaven. And they said that heaven was a place of joy and glory and we would spend eternity in the company of saints and angels, in a state of bliss. That's what that's they said. And, that 's what I wish for you, Claudette.

Claudette, Sorry that you are gone. You always lighted up the room when I worked with you for several years working with you as one of the managers that I worked for as my role as an administrator. I will miss your laugh. I also will miss your no -nonsense attitude which I loved.

I really can't believe I'm even writing this!!!! You called me on 15/1/21 and we spoke for over an hour!!! Aunty Cee if I knew that was going to be our last conversation I'd have willed us to talk for longer!!! I had to call your phone and message you when I got the news that you were gone!!! Not my Aunty not Aunty Cee, the bedrock of her family!! But you are gone....Aunty Cee you were my manager in Safeguarding, and from your very first day we had a connection. You helped to mould me into the Social worker I am today, and I carry all the lessons learnt with pride and honour! You became a friend and were such a support to me when I was even came to the hospital after work, when I was in labour, you made me laugh through the pain! You quickly adopted Cayds as your bonus took the time out to take dinner for us on Sundays and you forever checked up on us...Aunty Cee I could go on forever with all the memories and tokens of love you Gave to me by just being...I know how much you loved your children, and your grandchildren, and how proud you were of them; as every single one of our conversations wouldn't end without you talking about how they were doing and their achievements (no matter how small), I could hear how your tone changed when you spoke about them- the pride, and absolute joy that gushed from you ❤....I'd like to let all your children know (although I know you all already know), your mum loved each and every one of you fiercely!!! She has shown me how to love my child unconditionally, and for that I'm eternally grateful !!!! I could go on forever, because such Is the impact you made in my life...But before I end I must talk about how absolutely hilarious you were!!! We never had a conversation that didn't have me experiencing some proper belly laughs!!! Even when you were my manager - and when things got a bit 'sticky', you ALWAYS had a way of easing my tension and anxieties to the point of laughter. Aunty Cee I will forever hold my memories of you sooo dearly and I know I'll be snickering when particular memories of you pop in my now Aunty Cee, and although I've repeatedly asked why you? I also know that some things we will never all I can do is hope to see you again and just know you will forever be ♥️...I miss you soo much....GONE TOO SOON

Claudette and I attended confirmation classes together many years ago. Since that time, I have found her to be a very friendly and pleasant person.  She never passes me on the street without having a chat.
It is sad that she has left us at such a young age.
May Claudette Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory.

Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never be

Words can’t express how sad I was to learn of your passing on from this life but I was also happy to know you are no longer in pain.
You fought a good fight and won the race for your spot in the heavenly space where you won’t be struggling and fighting for ever breath.
Don’t worry about those you left behind because you left them fully equipped to deal with come what May, and when it’s our time we shall surely meet again in that heavenly space where there is only laughter and love always.

Claudette, I wish that I could have been there today to pay my respects to you.
Losing a friend at any age is hard but becomes even more so in your later years; so many memories and so much to reflect on since we first met so many years ago. I am still grieving for the loss of you but can honestly say that I find some comfort in those memories of our times together and know that as times goes on these memories will become even more precious.

You were truly a remarkable woman and although I know it was never up to me I think you left us too soon. I know how much your family have lost with your passing. My love and prayers are with them daily and I hope with each passing day that their grief and sadness becomes easier to bear.

Rest in peace my dear friend; missing you now and forevermore. Love Janet
her Life

Early Years

Claudette was the 4th born child of Albert and Ruby. She was the first child they had when they moved to England from Jamaica. She grew up in the church where the family built many bonds and her and her siblings spent summers with their cousins the Pennants. As a child she loved to read and she always had a keen interest in her Jamaican heritage.

The life of a Mother

Claudette had her first two children Yvonne and Leroy by the time she was 18. Years later Erron and Sunitta joined the fold and in addition to being a bonus mum to her nieces and nephews, she brought her Goddaughter Nathalee over from Jamaica and went on to adopt her youngest daughters Shanika and Shanae. As a mother she was dedicated to raising her children the right way and continued to support them in their endeavours until the time of her passing

The life of a Grandmother (Nanny)

If she was dedicated as a mother she was even more so as a Grandmother. Insisting that ‘granny or grandma’ were titles beyond her years, all her grandchildren knew her as Nanny. She was blessed to love and be loved by her grandchildren Kyerron, Shana, Joseph, Darrion, Keon, Kamiah, Kaliyah and Zariah. Present at the birth of each of her children’s ‘firsts’ Claudette ensured she helped guide her children to be the best parents they could be and continue to build a close and tightly bonded family

Pat my little sister

Shared by Claudette Sinclair on April 24, 2021
Pat, you were 3 years old when I first met you, my little sister. A cute, pretty, sweet little ball of fun.  I had the joy of taking you and Marcia to nursery in the mornings holding you with one hand and Marcia with the other, keeping my 2 little sisters safe but I better pray that it did not rain the night before, because in true Pat's style you would drag me to any little or big puddle that you could see and you would jump in. You enjoyed a splash. I watched you grow up from that little girl to become an adult. Mother of my fantastic nieces and nephews, grand mother, and "auntie Pat" to all of your siblings children. We have shared so much fun, so much laughs and so much love, along the way.  55 years we spent together Pat and with so many stories to tell of our lives together growing up, I could write a best selling novel. As siblings we all talked with our eyes, shoulders and feet and we will continue to do that for you. I know that you will be the secret listener at our conversations and when we laugh, you will laugh too clapping your hands as you laugh along with us, because "those we love don't ever go away".
It seem unreal to ever think that you are not here. I wanted to keep you here but you are needed in heaven. I miss you and my cheeks are wet as I write but each tear is a prayer and my grief is expression of love.
One more step along the world you go little sister. You have moved from the old things to the new and one day we will meet again. Until then sleep well and rest well Pat.
Love you Pat.

Dearest Claudette,

There are so many 'misses' that will no doubt make my eyes leak. We have shared many a funny joke, I am going to miss that. I will miss your  no nonsense but caring approach. You was so talented and will be a great loss to everyone you touched.

I am so sorry you did not beat the 'trussed up Turkey' and that we did not have another chance to speak.

Just had a chuckle that instead of resting you would be organising! God bless you my lovely.
