Our best friend.

September 14, 2014

Clay was this kid who spent the night at my house constantly. He was part of this family. He fit into my family like he fit into his own. Sometimes I would check on the kids and one night he'd be hanging out with Zach, another night he'd be hanging out with Ryan or hanging with them both. The beautiful times were when I caught him reading a book to Maddie my seven year old. There aren't many souls on this earth that would take the time to do that. He was the first to wake up every morning and he would sit at the table with ken and I and rat out our boys to us. He told us just enough to keep us properly informed without breaking trust in his best friends. He participated in the Kellogg hot sauce challenge. Once he decide to rub his eye after it got on his finger. He was not impressed. One day he thought it would be a great idea to slide across the hood of his parents car when Devon came to pick him up. You know, Dukes of Hazard style. Well let just say he had to pay for a windshield. He made our lives a bit more happy, a bit more funny. He made memories with us. He blessed this house with his presences. He will forever and ever be missed. I wish him well and we will all get to laugh together some day. But right now, our hearts are broken. Rest easy CPD.
