Missing Cleve at Christmas

December 13, 2021
I am so grateful for the 6 years that Cleve and I spent time together here at Stoneridge Creek. He was certainly an unexpected surprise I found when I moved here. For the last couple years he helped me put up my Christmas tree and hung the fresh pine wreath on my balcony. We enjoyed listening to Christmas music while having eggnog or a holiday cocktail. I remember his wonderful smile and beautiful blue eyes. He was a true gentleman with a nice sense of humor. When I first met Cleve I was impressed by the volunteer work he did for the Discovery Shop and Kaiser. He was a delightful travel companion. We had six great adventures together with Road Scholar, American Cruise line and Crystal Cruise line. It was a blessing to be able to spend time with him during the pandemic.

Quote from Dr. Seuss

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened"
I have many things to smile about from the time Cleve and I spent together here at Stoneridge Creek: our excursions, meals, cocktails on my balcony, and travels.

Never forget

April 6, 2021
Cleve is one of those people that you can never forget - not because he talked about his accomplishments or drew attention to himself.  But because he turned his attention to you.  He had a genuine knack for making people feel good about themselves.  In his business dealings you knew that his handshake was as good as his signature - you felt that from him.
He made life look easy, making big decisions effortlessly, after consulting a few trusted people.  And he was always up for fun times and laughter.  That SMILE!  Thank you for your smile, Cleve - I'm going to try to be a little more like you in that way.

I've learned the two most important things in life are Relationships and Character.  Everything else is secondary.  Cleve exemplified these two traits so well.  I will never forget you, Cleve.  Thank you for being a part of my life for the past 15 years.  Looking at your pictures now, you're almost larger than life itself.  Your left an indelible mark on this world.  Rest in Peace!

Tuesday Men's Lunch Group

March 21, 2021
Cleve had fun going to lunch on alternate Tuesdays (not during COVID) with three friends from Stoneridge Creek. They chose a different restaurant each time. The group rated the food and service and Stu Fine wrote a review that was shared with the SRC Community. The other two in the group are Ron Roach and Ron Hare.
