Clifford L. Heckman Jr.
The son of Clifford L. Heckman Sr. and Eleanor Heckman was born and raised in Riverside New Jersey. Clifford graduated from Riverside High School in 1959 and went on to attend Lehigh University where he met his future wife, Dorothy F. Heckman (Szy), of Bethlehem PA, on a blind date. They ultimately fell in love and enjoyed the last fifty-four years of a wonderful marriage.
As a Professional Civil Engineer Clifford took pride in his work for the state roads & bridges of New Jersey. He also relished the friends he made during his time involved in local political campaign work in the town of Mt. Laurel. He was always an open-minded advocate for those less fortunate facing political barriers. During the years of raising his children in Mt. Laurel he was an avid runner & took much pride in telling his stories of the sports he had played and the athlete he was.
After retiring, he and Dorothy spent the majority of their last 20+ years together on the beaches of South Jersey & Naples Florida. Over the years Clifford's reputation for serious surf fishing created many friendships on both beach areas.
Clifford L. Heckman Jr. was a loving and sincerely dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will forever be remembered.
