In Loving Memory of:
MRS COMFORT OLUYINKA OSUNKOYA

1948-2016

History:

Born in Kaduna, Kaduna state to the family of Late Chief Gabriel Ogunsanya and Late Mrs Beatrice Adebisi Ogunsanya on the blessed day of July14, 1948.   She was the second child of her Mum and fourth in number of the large and glorious Ogunsanya family of Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo.  She was brought up in a Christian and loving home. Discipline, hard work, perseverance, unwavering faith and belief in God almighty were some of the virtues she was taught as a young girl growing up.

She went through elementary school in Ibadan and later Commercial secondary school, Zaria, from there on she got her Higher School Certificate (HSC).  She worked briefly for Army Accounts and Records in Zaria .In 1969 she started work with Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation NBC Kaduna. Soon after getting married in 1971 to Mr Sunday Ademola Osunkoya she transferred her service to the Federal Radio Corporation (FRCN) Lagos. She enjoyed her job, but yearned to get a college education.  She enrolled at the Yaba Polytechnic, Yaba, Lagos from where she obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) combining work, raising a young family and studies.

Her Directorate in the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) later metamorphosed into Voice Of Nigeria (VON). She had an illustrious career spanning over three decades from where she retired as a top civil servant in the year 2002 without any blemish.

In the course of her career she rose through the ranks becoming a senior officer and along the way had the opportunity to attend various professional courses at the Administrative and staff college (ASCON) Badagry and Association of National Accountants (ANAN) Abuja amongst many others.

Our Mum was a very hardworking mother, very simple, very humble, loving and caring to her husband, children, families and to all that crossed her path during her sojourn on here.

On February 23, 2016 Mummy passed on to be with the Lord.
