She is survived by her children Melissia Wilborn of Trotwood Ohio, Shawn (Amanda) Anders of Dayton Oh and Amy Hess of Virginia. Her grandchildren Vincent Steinke, Dayja Steinke, Jasmine Anders, Lexus and Elijah Olding, Gracie Hess and Olivia Jones. She is also survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Connie was full of love, kindness, understanding and acceptance. She found a friend in everyone she met. She is rejoicing with our loved ones and believe me there is a celebration in heaven for her homecoming.

Mom, Although you can’t be here with us, we’re truly not apart, until our final breaths, you’ll be living in our hearts.

To Missy, Shawn and Amy, I just found out about your mom. I am so sorry for your great loss. I have missed her for a long time. Covid just messed everything up to be able to visit her. She was the most kind, giving and selfless beautiful woman on this earth. She was always about helping you guys or anyone that needed it. I know it’s not much comfort, but the only thing is, she’s no longer in pain. I know you guys are hurting and I am sad for all of you. I always enjoyed working with her at Rax and KFC. We had fun joking around together. She will be missed by everyone that had the honor to know her. I will always love and miss her beautiful soul. Love, hugs and prayers to all of your families. Love Nancy

Connie was like a mom to me and countless others. Selfless and dedicated to family, friends, and strangers alike. You couldn't ask for a better friend, boss, or mom. What an amazing human being whose impact will last a lifetime and then some. In our toughest times she was always the first to reach out to lend a hand out of the blue and never wanted anything in return. Never judged, just was an amazing person. A real life angel. I could type paragraphs about her generosity and love but if you're reading this I'm likely preaching to the choir.

She was boss at KFC for 10 years but she was family. She would go out of her way to help any and everyone she could. She was there for me in so many ways and always looked out for me. I always came to visit her at work after I had left and was in Ohio visiting. She had the most generous heart of anyone I know. My heart and prayers go out to Missy and Shawn and all of her family.

My Mom was a light in this world and not one minute of her life was about herself. She devoted herself to her family and her work. I know she is an Angel in Heaven now. She was too young to go but I don't pretend to understand God's will, I just trust in him. My mom told me a few years ago while I was in my addiction that all she wanted was to be able to know I was going to be ok if God forbid something happen to her. I was able to give that to her as I have been clean for years and now a chemical dependency counselor. My mom never gave up on me and I will always keep her memory alive by sharing her wonderful lifes memories with others. Although I am very saddened by her passing I rejoice she is with family and God the father. I love you so much mom and I miss you so much. You go night you tiny.

Connie’s birthda

Happy Heavenly birthday Connie. I will never forget you. We worked together at Rax along with your sister Vicky for a few years and then you got hired at KFC in Troy and since I was living in Troy, you told me to apply and you would hire me. We had fun working together and joking around. I was honored to meet and work with. Even after I quit, I would still stop in KFC and say hi and chat for a few minutes.  You always put others before yourself. You cared about everyone, especially the love you had for your kids and grandkids. They were lucky to have you in their lives. You are and always will be loved and missed by everyone that knew you. I love and miss youConnie. Love Nancy.
