Your not my biological aunt

September 12, 2013

A few months before Connor passed his dad was in the hospital and connor knew when his dad wasnt home aunt ashley and grandpa were in charge. So that day connor asked to ride his bike with his friend preston from down the street, my response to him was no its too cold to ride ur bike. well we can all guess what he did next, he decided that he would go into the shed when i wasnt looking grab his bike and go ride. later that night i called him home for dinner and to my suprise he had his bike, i ask him did i give you permission to ride your bike, his answer no but i wanted to ride it so i got it from the shed. i told connor that after dinner instead of going out to play for a little longer he was getting a shower and going to bed because he is grounded until his dad comes home. i was in for a big suprise when he answered me my cute little 8 year old nephew said you cant ground me your not my biolgical aunt. when i asked him if he knew what that word meant he said no i heard billy say it. lets just say he soon learned what it meant and he said sorry for saying that and for not listening to me in the first place.

Connor knew me well.

I remember when me and Ashley started talking, Connor knew about us way before I even knew who Connor was. The craziest thing is that Connor knew I played football for Monessen and even asked his mom for me to teach him. Connor's mom unfortunately said no. I go up with Ashley to visit Connor's grave once in a while, I'm glad I got to visit him, but I wish it didn't have to be his grave site. R.I.P Connor Robert Zink. You will be missed by the Small and Merritt family. I love you. RJ Small 33#
