Grandma Hordal

April 18, 2011

Grandma Hordal,

Well where to begin? There is so much to tell about the many wonderful memeories that I have of you Grandma! Like the time you gave me s**t for being not so nice to my mother, the months that you lived with us while in toon town, or the fact that you tried to teach me how to make bread (that did not go over very well, yeah I still can't make bread like you did or should I say I never make bread), or the fact that you taught me how to knit ( I think I will need to brush up on my knitting skills), all the times when we would blast Celine Dion in the car (and you would always tell me that my voice wasn't so great!!!  But I kept belting the song right along with you), or when you finally told me that I met a wonderful man (with huge brown eyes which you said would be eyes that would never lie), and how about all the times you would ask me about my students!!  I could go on and on about the great memories! I am so lucky to have had you in my life for so long! You were a wonderful woman who I learned so much from!! You made me smile each and every time I saw you and I will make sure to keep that smile in my memory forever!!  The last time I saw you was 2 weeks ago with my Bryanne in toe and you opened your eyes, smiled and squeezed my hand!! That was one of the best memories! I love you so much Grandma!!  You will be missed but never forgotten!!!

Love always

Kimberly

Mom

April 18, 2011

Mom you did a great job of raising seven (7) children. You did so much with so little, never asking for anything in return. You will be missed for so many wonderful things, and reasons. We can and have learnt so much from you and how you never gave up like a CAT with NINE Lives, you fought a great fight. There are so many fun memories and they will be remembered by my children, my friends and by Gail and I. Go rest Mom and remember us in your prayers as we will remember you. We will share many of these stories over the next week with my brothers and sisters and the grand children.

Love your SON

It was about 4 or 5 years ago when Gloria and I invited "the gang" over for new years eve, Marg asked if it was OK to bring her MOM and of course we said yes.

Well MOM was well into her late 80's then but behaved like a young 60 year old. She joined in the fun and had a great time seeing in the new year. She even found time to give Roy Hart a hard time about smoking!

She was a great gal and we share your loss!

Love to you all.

Peter
