This memorial website was created in memory of  Constance Cornwell, 72 years old, born on April 26, 1947, and passed away on April 5, 2020. We will remember her forever for her beautiful smile, big heart and zest of life! 
     Constance was reunited in heaven  with her love of her life , husband, John Pershing Cornwell on the evening of Palm Sunday 2020.  Connie's life journey is her legacy, a warrior and a hero!  SHE WAS SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
     Connie is the daughter of the late Marie and Carmelo Sclafani, born in Staten Island, NY. She is survived by her daughter Alicia Gingras and husband Dennis, son Jonathan Cornwell and wife Kori, sister Phyllis Ballester and husband Lou. Grandchildren who she adored, Aleigha Cornwell, Kaden Gingras, Bryn Cornwell, Setnee Cornwell and Dalahna Gingras.
     Connie married John in 1968 and had 2 children moving to West Milford , NJ. Connie was an elementary school teacher for 42 years. She loved to travel, visit all beaches and explore wine vineyards.   She spent alot of her  time with her many friends and clubs and loved to  spoil her children and 5 grandchildren. She had a  passion and big heart for all animals. Connie was a dedicated member of St. Josephs Parish Church . She was  always smiling and that is what she will be most remembered by , SHE IS  UNFORGETTABLE.

My tribute is for my mother, best friend and hero! She will be MOST remembered for being the most loving, courageous,fun, happy ,intelligent ( she skipped grades) ,strong, ambitious, educating and caring mother . I was blessed to be her daughter ! She left such a huge impact on my life and will forever be grateful for the life she and my father provided. Knowing she is always with me gives me comfort in missing her every minute.

Connie lived her best life, from marrying  the love of her life ,exploring in Hawaii to South America, to raising her own children to teaching her students, from hiking glaciers in Iceland to climbing volcanos in Italy, from relaxing on the sandy beaches of Caribbean  Islands to the Jersey Shore, getting her masters degree to sipping wines from the vineyards, concerts to luncheons , dances to the  northern lights,  Popes  to swimming with dolphins .... Connie LIVED and LOVED LIFE!
