She cared so much

October 12, 2011

Cocone as we would call her from a tender age was one of the most beautiful child a mother and father would ever ask for. she was the typed who would worry about everyone especially her two kids.  She was a very nice, loving and caring person.  Her favorite word to you when she sees you was, and i quote " you alright? with a beautiful smile on her face. she loved children and i remember once she brought a little girl about 2yrs old at the time to see us and what she loved in the child was, what the little girl said.  she would put up her hands in the air and said " praise the lord, alleulia" in her little two years old voice and my sister was very much applauded by that. So then we all adopted that little child called shanita who is now very much grown up.  Every little child in the village of mahaut was her own.  Guess what? she also adopted her two children school friends as her own too.  Our brothers were all away and when they would send a barrel it could not come without the Ice Tea and Orio Cookies or else there would be trouble in church yard as the saying goes ( laugh)  That was her favourite snack for all her adopted kids and they all loved her very much.

Cocone loved her entire family and alway want to see us happy.  she would have the last penny in her hand, she would stay without just to see that you get something to eat.  Inspite of her mental illness she was loved by everyone and we her family took very much care of her to make her happy.

We spent most of our time togather because she was the eldest, talking of the good old days in her little apartment downstairs of the family house.  We had lots of fun growing up especially when school closed for the summer vacation, mamie could not wait to send us up to campbell (the place where she grew up) and we use to get vex, but in the end we all enjoyed it having fun, running around the place, bathing, washing and catching crayfish in the river, eating guavea, cane, mangoes and don't talk about the mischief we got into, picking and sucking on papa's cocoa and coffee in the garden.  Papa use to get very angry with us because that was one of the main source of income.  All in all cocone our sister was a pleasant person.

COCONE EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT WITH US YOU LEGEND STILL LEAVES IN OUR HEARTS. TWO YEARS AGO MAMIE CAME TO JOIN YOU. MAY BOTH OF YOU REST IN PEACE.
