Known to many as Neil, he was a
loving husband to his late wife Eileen Monahan, father of 4 and grandfather of 5. He grew up in "Da Bronx". He passed peacefully at his home in Las Vegas NV surrounded by loved ones. A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge located in Beacon, New York. Memorial hours will be held in the downstairs club room from 1pm to 5pm on August 13th, 2022.

When I think of Uncle Neil, I think of music and laughter. I can remember many times he would break out in song or start to dance with whoever was near by, most times doing both. His laugh was contagious and could always be heard above everything else, lol. He was also someone who cared greatly about what was going on in your life. I loved him and will miss him. I am sorry I couldn't be at the memorial in person (broken leg) but I am there in spirit. Sending love and hugs to everyone.

Uncle Neil was a trip. Never met a Budweiser he couldn't drink. Never heard a song he couldn't dance to. Never heard a joke he couldn't let his booming laugh loose on. If there was a party, he was the life of it. Things never got cooking until he arrived. He was always the one who would lighten the moment for his nieces and nephews if anyone of us was in trouble or about to get into it. He was never cross with us, rather, more philosophical wanting us to think what would happen if we did something aimlessly stupid. And then he'd make you laugh it off with him. Weddings, graduations, christenings...if there was a significant family event, he was there. Perfect attendance. And I know that party in Heaven just got ratcheted up a few notches. Do they jitterbug up there? God Bless you Uncle Neil, we're all a bit emptier without you here right now, but none of us will be able to dance and sing without a little smile on our face knowing you're right there crooning and shagging along. Love you big guy. RIP
