His Life

A man of Love

April 24, 2016

Corry was born and raised in beautiful Jackson, Wyoming on August 20, 1968 to Johnny Koski and Myrtle Johnson. Corry is survived by his wife Sarah and his 3 children, Capri, Avery and Javan. He also left behind his mother, step father Nolan (Tiffany), sister Peggy (Larry), brother Lanny (Emily) and step brother Kelly. Corry was pre-deceased by his father Johnny, his brother Kerry. He left behind many beloved family members and friends.

Corry met the love of his life, Sarah and married her on May 1, 2004 in Jackson, Wyoming. Corry was a classic kinda guy, he always wanted a stay at home wife, to have children and be the "bread winner". Corry was very romantic, he would make coffee for Sarah with a little note of "have a wonderful day and i love you" written all over it, flowers would just pop up in random places and he would grab her hand and kiss it and sign Elivis to her. He loved to pick and tease Sarah to the piont of driving her crazy.

Corry was a very loving father, a dear family friend who had known Corry since he was a small child said he never know anyone who loved his children as much as Corry did. Capri say one of her favorite memories of dad was when she was about 5 and he took her out to a father daughter dance and dinner. Avery always enjoyed going to work with dad. Javan was just barely 2 when his father passed, but always lite up at seeing dad walk into the room, he still asks for him every night.

Corry loved to make people laugh. He had the best sense of humor, he was talented at artwork, woodwork and gardening. There wasnt anything he wouldnt try he loved to learn making him a "jack of all trades and a master of a few!" Back in Jackson Corry acted, directed and managed in the Jackson Hole Shootout for 8 years playing verous chactors but best known as "Doc" the local town drunk. When asked about what it was that made Sarah fall in love with Corry the sory seems out of a movie. One day Corry took anything he could to a pound shop to make a little extra cash, he asked Sarah to go and just sit and watch say nothing and see humanity at work on its own....so she did. Corry took the extra money he made and went to the store to buy several dozen roses, pulled them apart and sat at the town square in Jackson to hand out a rose to passing women. Young, old single, married didnt matter they would give him some odd funny looks and then smile. The only thing he would say is "have a beautiful day." and walked away happy as could be. This day Sarah knew in her heart she would marry him.

Now to know Corry you must know his children, they are thier father, a kind, gental, loving human. I am Sarah and I write this for our children not me, for them to know a small glimmer of their father and who he was and why I loved him as I did. To remember he is still in their hearts. He is still in mine as he will always be, but i haveĀ  learned to be ok with "moving on" to remarry and be happy in a new realationship.
